I like them both. I was seriously disappointed that Shiala just sends you an e-mail and is a war asset (well, I guess that's still better than the fate of many other email/twitter NPCs)

Garrus. I loved how they transitioned from best friends and combat buddies to lovers, although you really don't see the full impact of this until ME3. I laughed, I cried, I cheered.

Ashley.
It has been a long difficult journey overwhelmed with frustration and annoyance but I stood my ground and remained steadfast and for the most part I was finally rewarded with a good conclusion.
Totally getting the Play Arts Kai figure of her when it comes out. Along with Shep and Garrus obviously.

In ME1, setup a 3some with Kaiden and Liara, Kaiden wussed out, so Liara.
In ME2, Garrus, but boinked Liara after the events of the Shadow Broker. I boinked Garrus after SB mission, he seemed cool with my polyamory.
In ME3, Garrus. Maybe I should have tried to 3some a Garrus-Liara setup? Can you do that?

For BoyShep-
In ME1, Liara. I found Ashley racist, so she dead, brah.
In ME2, Jack. Was very tempted by Tali, but I think Jack more damaged. I wanted to show her there was such a thing as love that didn't end in betrayal. I boinked Liara after the events of the Shadow Broker. I boinked Jack after SB mission, she seemed cool with my polyamory.
In ME3, well, I've only just started playing my BoyShep in ME3. Maybe Tali?

In all of the 3 games I only romanced one person and that person was liara

Frankly the transition from game to game was great.  They became close friends in ME1, then in ME2 they have that awkward moment when the opportunity comes, and ME3 it just fit perfectly how Garrus wanted it to work but he was always just a little nervous about how to approach it but still kept moments of rivalry to show they are equals but dependant on each other.

Liara, she was the only one who got attention in all the games. She had the best romance arc inside and outside the game. What she went through for Shepard in the comics on top of the the game.

The Virmire survivor pissed me off on Horizon, and then were gone half the game in ME3. Tali always seemed like the young girl with the crush, not really old enough for my Shepards. Never really was a fan of Jack. Garrus I think was the only one I never tried in all my playthroughs, he was always too cool, always had Shep's back kind friend to romance. I romanced Miranda, but since I only played ME3 once, don't know how it turned out,

One of my most memorable moments from all the Mass Effect games is that romance scene in ME3, where Sheperd takes hold of Ashley's chin and tries to make her look at him and she resists with her eyes.

At least they didn't kill her off screen. But no Gianna? Not at all? Darn, if these were the elder days, we would have modded them in.
