One thing that annoying me is that the fans feel obligated to attack any critic, publication, or organization that has a contrary opinion.  X said this?  Let's create a thread about it her to complain about X.  Let's go to X's site/blog/forum and complain.

Really guys, all these people are opinion columns.  Most gaming sites are.  The forbes bloggers are.  The writers are.  It's just opinion.  

If people want to take the fans ideas seriously, they will stop feeling the need to suddenly appear and attack the people with contrary opinions.  Continuing to do that will likely turn the tide against sympathy towards this.  They go on the sites and say "we are NOT whiners", yet you are whining about being called whiners.

Each person gets 1 personal opinion.  Stop demonizing those who disagree.  Nobody in the petiononers camp can really speak for anybody but themselves.
