All the videos I have watched about the ending are good, but they state the obvious. You actually provided some well thought out insight on sci-fi storytelling and BW needs to watch this and understand this whole mess ASAP. By far the best video I have watched on the criticisms of the ending. Thanks.

Intelligent and cogent: bravo! If we're very lucky, they actually do want to fix the ending... and you hit exactly why 'clarify' raises so many red flags. The problem isn't that we don't get the ending - the problem is that the ending is broken.

Amazingly well-said. In all the details about Games and Integrity and Indoc and Reapers and.... what it comes down to is just as you say: this is a weird, weird thing to do to a story, right at the end.

I think I saw one article describe it as "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory."
