Also: Bioware: please don't pick the Destroy ending. I live in Wisconsin.
And seriously: lose the Catalyst. Everything about him is unwelcome.

(You think Miles Davis was just tooling around on the trumpet when playing his slow, moody passages? Oh no, he had the chops and could play that sucker inside and out.)
I thought I had wanted just a little clarification and closure. But after seeing this, and getting tired of reading article after article stereotyping and slamming gamers while giving BioWare free press and a free pass, I think I've changed my mind. That magic elevator really is the elevator that takes us out of the game.
What I really want in the ending is CRAFT at the level of the first two climaxes, Rannoch or Tuchanka, and not a befuddling ABC decision (that may or may not be real) followed by copypasta explosions.

Anyway, awesome video! It has pretty much everything(well, not EVERYTHING, but major ones) of things that are wrong with ending!

Fun aside, this is an excellent analysis of the ending's issues and why the fanbase as been so vocal.

I would guess that Redlettermedia is going to do a gamestation thing on ME3.
Stupid Plinkett better not upstage me! I've invested my entire sense of self-worth into this video.
Actually anything that makes Bioware pay attention is good.
Yeah Im pretty sure plinkett wont touch games.... I REALLY can see them do it on Half in the Bag purely because that series really does get into good discusions on story telling and what not, I point to the " people VS George Lucas" two parter to show what they can do.
I'm SORTA hoping they dont do it through gamestation. Granted they only put out the pilot episode for it, but it seems too generically " reviewish" for their typical style- but then again who knows where they can take it.

RLM is funny, but I dislike the
voice and the over abundance of serial killer jokes (yes I get it
Plinkett, you're a psycho. Move it along).
So this is better!
Angry stop making pretty sheps.
also RLM, as much as I really enjoyed the plinkett things I admit Half in the bag has really grown on me because it's....well it does not have as much psycotic, cat eating shock value jokes, but rather has a more down to earth approach to things.

the only thing he forgot to mention was that for some reason Shepard has a pistol with unlimited ammo.
...and I still think the Indoctrination theory is logical

Amazingly well-said. In all the details about Games and Integrity and Indoc and Reapers and.... what it comes down to is just as you say: this is a weird, weird thing to do to a story, right at the end.
I think I saw one article describe it as "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory."
I'm one of the people that thinks that almost all of the third game was great. It's just the final scene that screws it all up.

Finished. One of the best breakdowns that I've seen and entertaining to boot. To anyone on the fence about the 39 minute runtime, it is unquestionably worth it.

Enlightening points were brought up in a very engaging presentation. It was also wise to emulate the "talky" parts of the Plinkett review style without also trying to ape its shock value components.

So I went and did a silly thing. I wasted a bunch of what would have
otherwise been productive time making a Redlettermedia-style review of
the ending. Here it be (spoilers for all three games):
Available here:
THIS. ALL OF THIS.
I don't give a **** if they had to make a new ending that was a 3 hour cut scene that rolled through EVERY POSSIBLE OUTCOME of all of the characters I influenced.
I would watch the whole damn thing.
