There are a lot of people mad about the ending, and there are a lot of people who like the ending. Then there are people who want to fit into a group or clique because as humans we want to be welcomed into a society. So there are herd mentalities that become prevalant to which side of the coin you are on, which could differ on why you joined the group you chose in the first place.

It's not heard mentality its group think. On forums such as this you generally only get people posting in topics that interest them, generally resulting in views being skewed to one side or another. In the context of the endings of for ME3 it is generally only those people who are truly upset by the endings that actually bother to post anything in the threads about them, thus they get the impression that more people feel the same as them than is actually the case. Posts in threads that only appeal to one aspect of a community generally have an additive effect upon the views of the posters, thus skewing thier views even more in one direction resulting in the sort of vitriol and self rightiousness seen all over the internet.

It will be interesting to see how this backlash over ME3's ending will determine what BioWare chooses to say/reveal. As someone already mentioned, it might not be the best idea to announce Dragon Age 3 during a time when a lot of BioWare fans are in rage-mode. It could be potentially met with a bunch of "Who cares? Tell us what you're doing about ME3's ending!"

The dragonage bit excites me... I think. While DA2 was a huge disappointment for me, I still hold out hope that they come back with something awesome for the third installment. 

Hopefully we will have some good details on ME3 as well. I, like many was disappointed with the ending, but hold out hope that Bioware will still come through and make it right.

I have been a Bioware fan too long to give up hope now. But if that hope gets crushed further... well, I am not sure how I will feel.

Interesting.  So it looks like they plan to address each game separately.  Good.

Also, Dawn of the Seeker?  Working title?  I always felt a lot of the backlash for DA2 might have been lessened if they'd gone with Dragon Age: Champion of Kirkwall or something like that, rather than a numerical title that suggested an actual sequel to the first one.  Maybe they realized that too, and thus they're not going with DA3.
