How about gambling the future of the franchise on the nature of April's announcement?

I think they'd have to say something about what their position on the ending will be. It's what a lot of people will want to talk about in Q&A, and even though they only said "April" everyone has already assumed it'd be at PAX since that makes the most sense in terms of an announcement. I mean there's nothing stopping them from pushing it till later but I think everyone will raise a giant "WTF!" if absolutely nothing is said at PAX.
I don't think they can get away with talking about anything BUT the ending to ME3 to be honest. That would HAVE to be the first thing that they address, otherwise the gathered mass that came to hear answers is going to get......upset.
And honestly, can you see them trying to put it off?
"We'll get to the Mass Effect 3 ending debate in just a minute, right now I'd like to address the more pressing matter of armor and weapon pack DLCs that we plan on releasing. Also I'd like to touch up on multiplayer sunglasses for your new human soldier class that ............."
They'd never get out alive.....

Maybe then they'll finally get it through their heads how badly they screwed things up. Not a vocal minority but a vocal majority.

If I was Bioware at that event, and everyone boo'd, I'd just walk out. You can't have a reasonable discussion with idiots, which is what you are if you boo the people you want answers from.

Exactly ho wmany people are going to buy a DLC that takes place before the ending when we already know the ending. All three horrific ones! Oh wait... the single one with three colors. I will not buy anything until the ending is fixed. Period.
: coughbscough:
lol! No... not :coughbscough:
Nice of you to be rude though and try and speak for me.
However... I choose what I spend my money on... and there is simply no point in buying a DLC that takes place before the ending as it stands now. None. So until the ending is fixed... Bioware gets no more money from me. And that isn't :coughBScough:. Sorry.
im sorry it is a bunch of bs
all the people who say they are not gona buy the dlc i will in fact call bluff
im not telling you how to spend your money im saying dont bark words you yourself cant keep
Call what bluff? I'm not making a bluff so you can all you want. You'll lose and you'll just look more the fool.
On a side note... do you intentionally pick fights with people on forums or do you work for Bioware or EA? From what I can see all you have done is defend them and pretty much called everyone else any number of snide names or made snide remarks to their posts.
There is a word for what you would be called. I believe it is Troll.

Since when are the two mutually exclusive? I'm all for them receiving some hard hitting questions and sharp critiscms. They can respond however they like and the crowd has the right to react accordingly.

im really amazed they havent really did anything like that so far honestly

People certainly do have the right to boo as they please, though the grown up in me just finds this to be silly.
You can go in on them in a better manner than that, but that's just me. Actually, while the ending feels very incomplete to me I just don't have the nerve to care like others on here do.
To each their own though.

Especially since it's supposedly the release team working on "content initiatives", but it looks like the only staff on site at PAX is going to be from the live team.
At least the other side is bringing their A-team. All three leads, at one show? They better open some windows, because it's going to get hot in there.

Like I said they're not mutually exclusive. I hope there is also an engaging Q&A session where fans of the series can ask the hard questions and I hope that they have the decency to offer us straight answers instead of the same old PR doublespeak.
Booing may be a little reductive but it's a very effective way of gauging the temperature of a crowd. If anyone can come up with a way for over one thousand people to articulate their views and engage in a meaningfull discussion simultaneously in an enclosed space then I'm all ears. If BioWare is expecting the crowd to be raving and cheering at every single thing they say then they may have to adjust their expectations.

It will be a small litmus test on how seriously they take us.
If we get nothing but noncommittal words like "we are listening", and there is shown no proof, no evidence of what they state then its really worth nothing. They can promise us the moon and 12 new endings and a "little house on the prarie" happy end for half of them and it really will not amount to anything unless they have anything to back them up.
On the other hand they can impress the hell out of the fans and then straightforwardly address the elephant in the room from the word "go", and show concrete evidence to ending "tweaks" / "DLC". They can pick up on any number of issues mentioned on these boards and then address them and describe precisely what their plan is. And then they can tell us precisely and very concretely how they plan to move on from here. It would be the "Proactive" (hate that word) thing to do and it would show the fanbase that they arent fumbling in the dark but they have a plan.
However... I am rather confident that PAX will follow a standard script of "yay our game was great, look at the reviews", "some fans do not like the last 2 pct but love the rest and we are ofcourse listening", and "look at our new MP pew pew initiatives on the screen behind us".

Well, if Gaider and Laidlaw are going to be there, you know DA 3 is going to be announced.
-That would be a mistake. Announcing a new game in the middle of a fecal hurricane cant help but rub off. Id keep DA3 "virgin-esque" and "unaffilliated" with ME3 at all costs at this time.
