Well, if Gaider and Laidlaw are going to be there, you know DA 3 is going to be announced.

With the recent cancelation of the DA2 expansion, it's a posibility. But for some reason I doubt it. It's been a year since the second instalment was released and I really hope they won't rush DA3 like the last one.

There was going to be an expansion?

Yes, but they decided to drop it in order to focus fully on what is expected to be Dragon Age 3. I think I remember Mike Laidlaw posting on the Dragon Age forums that they had "a lot to do and they won't be rushing this one" or something along those lines.

Yes. Exalted March was going to be the title.

It was canceled so that the team could concentrate on the next full game.

Contrary to some opinion here, the DLC apparently sold quite well, and they were set on doing the expansion. But I guess scrapping it and getting everybody working on DA3 was the best way forward for the franchise, for some reason or another.

Hey boy. Video games are not "art" They *may* be classified as an "art form". But it ain't art. The Mona Lisa is art. Mass Effect isn't.

says who? you?

you do realize it takes an artist to draw up the charachters right?

but i guess since the ending pissed off your childish mind you think now whawhawha it isnt art

kind of funny 2 years ago people were saying otherwise and now all of a sudden there crapping there huggies complaining about an ending makes something non art

As an artist in the audio visual entertainment industry you damn well make sure that you cover the interests of your clients first and try to weave in as much of your own creativity into it without going against your job.

ME3 is a product that includes art. It had false advertising and aspects that the majority of players dislike. You can fix your product or give your customers the finger. The second option is like shooting your self in the foot because without customers you are NOTHING. Crtitics that give 10/10 without reason are not going to pay the expenses.

Ouch.. I noticed Laidlaw is gunna be there.. The lead from that craptastic game DA2 really isn't a good idea to mix with the ME team...

Ouch, indeed. I don't envy a single one of them, to be honest.

Hope it goes well, though.

Maybe Mr Gamble could be good enough to explain these comments he made and their integrity:

“There are many different endings. We wouldn’t do it any other way. How
could you go through all three campaigns playing as your Shepard and
then be forced into a bespoke ending that everyone gets? But I can’t
say any more than that…”

“Every decision you've made will impact how things go. The player's also the
architect of what happens."

“You'll get answers to everything. That was one of the key things. Regardless
of how we did everything, we had to say, yes, we're going to provide
some answers to these people.”

“Because a lot of these plot threads are concluding and because it's being
brought to a finale, since you were a part of architecting how they
got to how they were, you will definitely sense how they close was
because of the decisions you made and because of the decisions you
didn't make”

"Of course you don’t have to play multiplayer, you can choose to play
all the side-quests in single-player and do all that stuff you’ll
still get all the same endings and same information, it’s just a
totally different way of playing"

Games do use artistic talents like music, story writing, art creation etc. So games can be artistic.

Whether ME3 is artistic that is up do each individual to decide, for myself i do think it has artistic parts in the game and there should be some artistic integrity involved but i do think the ending needs more work and clarification on the differences of the selections and what really happens.

Also some of the plot holes for Normandy and the companions should be explained and fixed.

They should also fix the 4000 EMS required for best ending as we are not able to get enough points for sp.

I really hope Patrick Weekes gets a chance to give a talk, or part of one, or be in a panel. I think he's one of the best writers Bioware has ever had. Of course, the rest of ye are wonderful too and I look forward to hearing what ye all have to say. :-)

Curiously enough, I think his time @ BioWare is close to its end. Just a feeling, no sources here.

Ok, question here... (mild spoilers, please be warned).

Read a few comments from people pondering the possibility of an Omega-based DLC. The assumed premise being that we help Aria reclaim her base from the clutches of the various Merc groups who have muscled in on her turf.

Now, assuming Shepard was involved, this would need to be a pre-ending DLC, set in the period prior to Priority Earth (for obvious reasons). Completing it would (possibly) ensure Aria's survival post-ending, though I guess her powers and resources would end up pretty-much diminished afterward.

As an alternative, what do you think of the possibility of a DLC in which we actually play Aria as the protagonist, perhaps with The Patriarch as one of her companions?

I like the idea myself, in that I generally play the series as a hardcore Paragon... would give me the chance to play as a total renegade character, (if only for a brief time) without it adversely affecting the world I had created through Shepard.

I'll be delighted with more new comics if they're Dragon Age ones written by David Gaider.  The Alistair / Varric / Isabela comic series that's currently being published is brilliant.

Hopefully no more Mass Effect comics though, unless they're big improvements on the previous ones.

Lol, I kind of which it would be this, because these forums would explode into a ball of fiery hate if he did.

Michael Gamble comes out, everybody has baited breath. They want to know how the endings got so severely f*d up. He speaks:

"Today I want to discuss with you, the Mass Effect fans....what your favorite kind of afternoon tea is"
