I've yet to see ingame proof of her being the "Übermensch", she always likes to proclaim herself as.

The only one that can actually claim that title is Shep, if you ask me. Actions speak louder than words :o

well you'll have to take that with bioware, since they're the ones who put all of miranda's bad ass scenes behind the screen

That is the main problem, yes. It's just a bit unbelievable for me if all we get to back it up is just talk.

I love both of them, but am I the only one who thinks they're incredibly alike in personality? The major difference is Ashley says the ****y things outloud that Miranda is thinking in her head.

You can't use an argument with ifs against facts. Once again, story wise we can reasonably deduce Miranda can use any weapon any soldier can. Realistically, for gameplay purposes it is limited for balancing. Nobody is calling Miranda perfect, however, she has far more assets and far less flaws than Ashley has already based off of her creation.

Tali is better than all of them but.....Miranda simply because she's just as obnoxious but far more useful. Seriously who played a soldier anyway? (sorry if you played a soldier...actually i'm not)

even if I don't see it on screen , I still find it very believable, just think it would have been awesome to see the fight between miranda/ kai leng. that wasn't talk is was fact we just didn't get to see it

Okay lets see. .. on put Shepard back the together after making planet fall and works for a private para-military organization. The other is a Alliance Marine and the stand with best of em in a fight...

Tactical overview ... it would be best if you pissed neither off or go got on the there "**** list" bad things would happen. The only difference is will be a bullet to thr face or a some kind of slow acting poison that kills slow over they years.

My argument would be for Ash though. Proficient with all types of weapons and hypothetically ammo powers give her a distinct advantage from any range. While Miranda has Warp and Overload capabilities, she does have cooldown times on those, putting her at a disadvantage if she misses. She is almost limited to SMGs and heavy pistols which are both limited to medium range. Ashley has the tactical advantage at far ranged combat while both are pretty even at medium and close range combat.
That's my two cents there.

i then told him about the argument about kai leng/eva

If Ash could have been equipped with a shotgun or some CQC weapon like an omni-blade, the outcome would've been different. The only reason Ash lost to EVA was to add drama to the scene as a comrade and close friend (or lover) getting critically injured. Plus EVA is an advanced synthetic AI with more armor and agility than your standard Geth.
Miranda can be killed by Kai Leng if not fore-warned about his involvement if I recall correctly, and she can be killed by her own father who is an organic at that. She may be genetically perfect, but she's not perfect. She human, just like Ash.

do we know she'd be limited to smg's and heavy pistols if she was an ME3 character? Are those the only weapons Kaidan can use (they'd probably have similar load outs)

First off, I want to put out that I have nothing against Miranda or Ash. Two well-developed characters.

Now to your question: Not quite, but the two returning ME2 squaddies had their same weapon proficiencies, so it's a safe bet at least.

It doesn't have to be on screen at all. But it is implied that she is already better than most humans. Unless Miranda lied to us about everything and she wasn't genetically modified.(Which there is no evidence that she is lying to us about it to bring this up). If that were the case, everything is retconned and Ashley has a damn good chance of beating Miranda.

Edit: Once again, this points out Ashley wins when someone puts in an "if" scenario. Man you guys really need to freshen up on your character history.

I left Ash on Virmire so no worries but If she were still around I would airlock her if she looked at Miranda funny. Not that I would need to, Miranda would pwn that racist waste of space.

I'll take Miranda, all she has is daddy issues, maybe some self esteem concerns, and maye overprotective.

Her other ahem qualities are very good.

Ashley.

She just seems more real to me. How she reacts to things, her flaws and values, and just her general personality...she is one of the more realistic characters in the game and a really, really good match for a Paragon Shepard since he balances out her xenophobe tendencies and such throughout the series if you romance her.

Miranda is a good character, don't mind her...but, I don't know. I guess she's just not my type.

In a fight? Who knows. It'd be fun to watch, but I'd rather watch a verbal fight with them - their differences in ideals, ethics, and ways of getting things done is what makes them opposite.

P.S. - Ashley is sexier.

and at the end I have to say ashley was right, dont trust aliens (well not all of them -- ok and some humans too)

but the fact that the asari hide that beacon all the time instead of sharing its knowledge to the rest of the galaxie which would have helped much against the reaper invasion, made me ... angry

finally I chose the reaper controll ending to wipe some species out but nvm credits

Ashley was a squad leader on Eden Prime but she was following someone else's orders. If you have subtites on at the start of the game the guy you see talking in the SOS is a captain.

In the opening of ME2 Mrianda losses her station and everyone under her command, so much for being able to read people.

Miranda brought you back to life, fell in love with a male Shep and made no judgement upon him for his work in the alliance.

Ashley doesn't do anything unless she dies on Virmire. But she doesn't so she becomes useless. She becomes distrusting of you and becomes a total annoyance until midway through the game. Miri ftw.
