If you watch the vids on TIM's base in ME3, they make it pretty clear that the Lazarus team wasn't making much progress until Miranda took charge. IMO, that speaks to her importance in bringing back Shepard.

More like they thought it was futile while Miranda believed it could be done. Other than that there's no evidence that she had a heavy influence in Shepard's resurrection.

Ashley. Miranda would just wear tight clothes and act snobby. Also, Ashley would at least wear armor in a fight.

Ashley is the female equivalent of Mel Gibson. So personality-wise, she's worse.

Ashley was with you on your mission to defeat Saren. Now she hears things from other people and doesn't believe you anymore.

There should be an airlock option.

Personally, I like Miranda. Probably because Ashley came of as racist and religious in ME1.

When ME1 first came out I was set on romancing Ashley... until I played the game and met Liara. Once I saw Liara, I never looked back and literally never romanced anyone else since, although I did watch youtube videos on all romances.

In my honest opinion, Miranda > Ashley

If you actualy bother to finish out the covos with her you would find out that she does NOT think humans are any better then the others only that we cannot bet on them helping us out when we needed it, and she was right.

In all three games the other races just ait around with their thumbs up their butts until they are under attack.

Samara, Thane, Mordin, Laria, Garrus, and Tali also at one time or another express their relegious faith.

Legion also asks if he has a soul.

I like Ashley better. Shepard and her have more history. Plus, I loved her character long before Miranda. I love that Ashley looks more like the girl next door.

I'm a sucker for Australian and British accents (Why Traynor, why??), so I'd be rooting for Miranda. That said, I prefer Liara to both of them.

Why did they believe it was futile unless there were no appreciable results? Either they were the laziest team ever, or it was Miranda who brought forth the results.

Also this is basically no different from Miranda's stance. That's what makes me so confused about Ashley vs Miranda arguments. They're so alike in personality and ideals. Even in their motivations.

I think the issue comes mostly from Ashley openly saying she is relegious and being more open of her mistrust for nonhumans. Mirandia also has that catsuit and the cammra view loves to hover over assests.

I would only say that ME1 Ashley > ME2 Miranda (at first glance).  Ashley came off as a real person, Miranda was an ice queen with daddy issues.

Then ME3 happened.

ME3 Ashley is awful.  Awful!  She's mopey and whiny and hates Shepard and almost shoots him and is always questioning Shepard -- really throughout the entire game.  And she talks slow.   And she doesn't DO anything!  She's just sort of there but not even in an interactive way.  The best thing Ashley did in ME3 was get drunk and pass out on the floor.

ME2 Miranda (post-loyalty mission) + ME3 Miranda is so much better.  She actually grows as a character.  She's trying to save her sister, and risks her life to do so.  She regerts undermining Shepard earlier, but she's still capable and independent.  And yes, there are too many gratuitous ass shots of her but I don't hold that against her.

My opinion of Ashley dipped so low after ME3 that if I ever play it again I'm leaving her behind on Vrmire.  And I've saved on every one of my 10+ ME1 playthroughs and stayed loyal to her throughout ME2....

hmm.. Ashley is a hardened space marine who has just been promoted to being a Spectre. Miranda is genetic mutt whom takes to wearing a skinsuit in battle, had daddy issues and bad character judgement (pick me Shepard! I'm strong enough to create a biotic barrier).

My money is on Ashley
