Miranda, on the other hand, I felt had some real depth as a character. She had inner conflict, she had a backstory that I cared about, and she really had a reason to be tied into Shepard's story, the Mass Effect story. I never romanced her (Liara loyalist), but I can see the beauty in that romance. Miranda, who spends two years of her life building his man from scratch without any emotional ties to him falls in love with her own creation. That's beautiful.

Liara loyalist is my secondary Shepard.

Miranda <3 Shepard is an awesome story :)

Gotta go with my girl Ash on this. She can drill you between the eyes from over 100 yards awayn while Miranda ... well, distratcs with her assets.

Would've liked to see that scene, though. Certainly would have been interesting! In fact, scene between all of the LIs and potential LIs would've been interesting.

Ash: Hey, Kelly, can I talk to you for a minute?
Kelly: Sure, what's up?
Ash: I just wanted to say... keep you spunky, cheerful, happy-go-lucky paws off my man, or so help me you'l wish you'd been disintegrated by the Collectors.
Kelly: *whimpers like a hurt puppy*
Ash: Have a good one!

Miranda does maintain the Biotic barriar, which was the objective. She just can't produce the shockwave that scrambles the collectors like loyal Samara and Jack. Besides, it only ends badly because the squadmate that gets taken was lagging behind to get in extra shot on the collectors.

Her tech skills make up her slightly weaker Biotics skills compared to Jack and Samara.

How can people say there was no different between Eva and Kai Leng.
.
I mean, Shepard took her down easily.

Just as he took down Kai Leng, when he wasn't backed up by a gunship ;D

Im sure it took more than a few shots to down KL. And even then KL still had fight in him.

In my game Miranda is dead and Ashley was nearly beaten to a pulp. Both of this happend by the hand of persons/things that relied heavily on reaper tech, so I don't really blame them.

But I don't see how either of them is supposed to be superior when they both fail against dangerous opponents that you actually can compare.

Miranda said she can get a headshot 100 meters away which is about 109 yards and she doesn't use a sniper rifle.

This. In other words for people who still don't understand. Miranda can do anything Ash can except bear a child.

Miranda hands down. I kind of liked Ash in ME1, but Miranda just blows her out of the water in just about every conceivable way (imo).

I've yet to see ingame proof of her being the "Übermensch", she always likes to proclaim herself as.

The only one that can actually claim that title is Shep, if you ask me. Actions speak louder than words :o

I don't think either of them would go for it... Liara and Traynor might be open minded, but Liara might feel guilty and unsure about it after.

And where have we seen Ashley being any but imcompetent ingame?

Eden Prime - Needed to be saved by Shepard. If the geth didn't kill her, Saren's bomb would have.
Virmire - Need to be rescued once again
Horizon - Needed to be rescued once again
Mars - Shepard once again steps in to save her life.

Totally deserving of spectre status. And lets forget the fact that if Shepard REALLY were a Cerberus agent, she'd would have gotten the council and herself killed on the citadel

The proof is in her creation. Edit: No, I'm not calling her a super character. I'm saying her assets far outweigh her flaws in comparison with most other humans.

well you'll have to take that with bioware, since they're the ones who put all of miranda's bad ass scenes behind the screen

My argument would be for Ash though. Proficient with all types of weapons and hypothetically ammo powers give her a distinct advantage from any range. While Miranda has Warp and Overload capabilities, she does have cooldown times on those, putting her at a disadvantage if she misses. She is almost limited to SMGs and heavy pistols which are both limited to medium range. Ashley has the tactical advantage at far ranged combat while both are pretty even at medium and close range combat.
That's my two cents there.

i then told him about the argument about kai leng/eva

If Ash could have been equipped with a shotgun or some CQC weapon like an omni-blade, the outcome would've been different. The only reason Ash lost to EVA was to add drama to the scene as a comrade and close friend (or lover) getting critically injured. Plus EVA is an advanced synthetic AI with more armor and agility than your standard Geth.
Miranda can be killed by Kai Leng if not fore-warned about his involvement if I recall correctly, and she can be killed by her own father who is an organic at that. She may be genetically perfect, but she's not perfect. She human, just like Ash.

do we know she'd be limited to smg's and heavy pistols if she was an ME3 character? Are those the only weapons Kaidan can use (they'd probably have similar load outs)

Her spectre status is just Udina knowing that she'll do anything she says because she's nearly as fanatic about humanity as Cerberus.

I'm sure she's a competent marine.  Most of the marines in Mass Effect are pretty bad in general (compared to Shepard).  See Jenkins.  Ashley is quite possibly the best of the bunch.
