Hello,
Perhaps I'm blind, but I fooled around with the toolset enough to get comfortable with the buttons and then decided I was ready to at least build an area to start off a module idea I have. Then I look through the building blueprints only to discover there aren't any log houses. (D'oh!) I'd envisioned a homestead of sorts, built by a few families together in the woods. For story purposes, the rural thatch houses aren't really what I'm after (a bit too uptown, so to speak) and the swamp ones a too delapidated. So ... am I missing them? Is there a prefab set on the vault maybe? Must I change my vision aleady? (In the first 5 minutes ...)
Thanks,
Fez

You have to make your vision match what is possible. I'm not aware of any log house buildings. If there is something someone has built on the vault you can find it easily enough with Google.
Sometimes you can use placeables creatively to make the appearance of something closer to what you want (for example taking a skull placeable and enlarging it and embedding it in the side of a mountain). Placeables can be sized and rotated on their x and y axes.
Regards

Look through all the buildings, and see what you can adapt. There are blacksmiths, inns, and dock buildings that could be adapted for your purposes. Also, you can tint many of the buildings. The siding on the swamp buildings can be tinted to something less moldy, though I think you're stuck with the green moss on the roof.

Iirc there are some loghouses/ramshackle stuff on the Vault. I've never seen it in use and don't remember who posted them.

The standard interior tileset has a log wall texture option, and you can use the dirt floor texture options as well. So at least for the interiors it's not a problem.

Welcome Fezzik,
In case you don't know about it already, it might be worth a look at Smorpheus' Neverwinter Nights 2 Toolset Visual Index nwvault.ign.com/View.php
If I remember right, it doesn't include anything from Zehir, but there's a ton of stuff in there that makes finding particular models, or inspiration, much, much easier.
Cly.

What cannot be done with the vanilla toolset can most likely be done with custom content. In this case you want the BCK placeable hak packs. There is a log texture that can be used to sheath existing houses or just build your own with that set. I've done it so I know it can be done.
I suggest using Nytir's BCK Combined for AutoDownloader by Pain for best results.

Thanks for the answers. I was poking around the vault and saw a promising pak by Barry the Hatchet that, when coupled with Mokah's suggestion, may give me what I'm after. Thanks again,

Oh boy. Downloaded the combined haks and utps (in the override folder) and while the blueprints show up in the toolset, I get a string error whenever I try to use them. As soon as I try to move out onto the area .... bang, error. Any idea what I screwed up?
