Seriously people, it's not that hard to link something and only takes a couple seconds to do so.

anybody give the gist of it?

Genuinely good. The gist - which does an immense disservice to the video - is that people will forgive a lot as long as the narrative is coherent. Attempting to replace the main conflict at the last minute using a new character and fourteen lines of dialogue... blows that all to hell.

The ending is broken. It is not even the ending to a story.

I'll probably check it out later thanks.

If anything, this guy is smart getting attention with all of this.

The author really goes in detail to just "why" the ending is as bad as it is. But he uses a genre and literary argument, but does a fantastic job tying it in to the series.
He's also funny. I really enjoyed watching it.
I hope Bioware sees it and gives it some attention.

This is simply the best explanation for my recent spiral into hopeless, godless, self-destructive depression. He put my bad feelings into words. Bravo.

Such a vast description of the Mass Effect universe and the overall game + ending examination.

holy SHIZNIT!! I just watched the entire video. That was absolutely brilliant! The way he explained narrative coherence just clarified the situation a thousand fold. Basically everything is explained in Mass Effect, EVERYTHING, either with in game dialogue or the codex, but those last 10 minutes bring up a bajillion questions that are meant to confuse the player, thus simulating reaper indoctrination? (assuming the indoc theory is indeed correct)

The writers are sitting on pure gold here, and I got a feeling that they're going to blow us all away very soon now. If Bioware can pull this off... oh man.

I was discouraged by the 40min timestamp, but it was most certainly worth watching. Very well put.
