This is a must-watch video.
I completely forgot about the quarians! The destroy option also destroys them!
This video offers some great insights. Good find!

He understands basic plot development, something that is missing from modern writing.

He should have done abit more research on things. Synthetic is more machine then human. The Geth would be uneffected by the "Destroy" ending, thus it's not mentioned. Destroy is just eliminating the "machines" of the Galaxy, not destroying neccasarily "tech".
And he said "Control" would make him take control of the Geth? Errr, man. I can't take this serious at all, just feels like someones upset over the ending and wants to rant about it, and get attention.
Sigh.

For all what's worth, he could have picked the "genre" of star wars instead of techy and talk. It's all subjective opinion, and really is no facts he's bringing up.
This is simply not true. He goes on for about 5 minutes explaining exactly why it is Talky and Techy and not science fantasy like Star Wars. This part is not subjective at all. Mass Effect has always been about the dialogue and interactions, if you don't know this, then you really don't know Mass Effect.

The whole ending crushed!
Spot on!
This video is truly worth it. It isn't like your ordinary "Let's-break-down-the-ending"-video's. This one is much much more and better than that.
I hope BW sees this and watches it. They could learn a lot from it.

I don't get why people turn to the whole, "Eh, it's subjective!"
It's not. The endings to ME3 are objectively bad. That doesn't preclude someone from liking them, it just means the person is going against set standards for story-telling.
For instance, there are tons of shows that I watch that are objectively bad, but I still like them. That's a matter of taste; taste is where something becomes subjective. We can like objectively bad things, but we still need to admit that they're objectively bad and then get over it when people complain.

Considering you're lacking basic knowledge on how the endings affect anything (Understandable, considering they give you almost nothing to work with), you're really in no boat to deem another as un-cereal.

....wow.
The destroy option said it would wipe all synthetic life, including the Geth and EDI. I think maybe you should do the researching here.
He brings so many valid points in 40 minutes and all you can say is it's a rant?

It's his definition of it. It's not fact. I could make up different definitions and variations of the same genre, but it would still be my perspective on it. It's only a fact in his own mind, I wouldn't argue against it- but I'm saying that regardless of what definition he goes with, Star Wars in it's own right doesn't try to break the limits of it's own world, because hello- it's sci-fi.
The experience of Mass Effect varies from person to person, and you can't define it as a "It's this and that, not that and this". For some people, it's a rollercoaster with alot of nice shooting elements, and they could care little less about the actual story.
If you don't know this, then you don't know a whole lot about Mass Effect, and people in general and their opinions and values, let-alone- developing a game.
I meant the Quarians, my mistake. The destroy option said it would wipe all synthetic life, including the
Geth and EDI. I think maybe you should do the researching here.
I'll disagree. He continously tries to try and pull it all-together into the final 5 minutes of the game, which is completely unfair and seems like an exclusive matter that only Mass Effect 3 seems to suffer on.He brings so many valid points in 40 minutes and all you can say is it's a rant? ../../../images/forum/emoticons/w00t.png
There's alot of video-games, movies and books that ****s up everything the "old" precedents were, but hey- it is what it is, and you'll just have to respect the writers/developers of whatever that they concluded the story they way they invisioned it.
And the fact he tries to bring in Socrates is embarrasing at best. Seems like someone just took the first class in Philisophy and tries to act like he's the smartest bunch in society. I think it's more of a contradicting way to use Socrates, rather than try to actually implement some of his "methods/arguements" into some valid point.
