Amazing video. Seriously best break down on why the ending of ME3 fails.Yougottawanna wrote...

Thanks for the compliments everyone! This was the attention and validation I was looking for the whole time.
I hope some people at Bioware watch this. In a way it's just a summary of many of the things already said on this forum - but for a Bioware employee, trying to separate signal from noise in a forum full of hundreds of threads is asking alot, especially when they're personally invested in what they've made. So part of the point of the video was just to put as much of what's been said on the internet as I could into one place, and to make it as easy-to-watch as possible.
On Plinkett: I'm definitely a fan of the Redlettermedia reviews, and used their style as a template (and I said as much in the video), but I don't think I aped them so closely as to count as a ripoff. No one has a monopoly on the "game footage + narration + jokes" format.
I bet Plinkett took inspiration from the Angry Video Game Nerd the same way I took inspiration from Plinkett.

And they deserve it. This ending is as objectively bad as anything Lucas did.
Nice impersonation of Plinkett's style, yougottawanna. I kept hearing "Grandpa Marblemouth" while you were doing it.

Yet another incredible breakdown of what went wrong. What are the odds that the people with any real power, in this situation, are humble enough to watch and learn anything from these videos?
Quite frankly, I do not think that anyone at Bio that can make a difference will watch this.
The lower ranked guys may, but are powerless to do anything with it.
The upper echelon developers are too arrogant and most of all too detached. Don't forget that the people in charge of the project have been spreading blatant lies about what they were selling even so late as the last week before release. If they're the type of people who do that, they're probably not very interested in quality criticism because they already knew they were selling something that didn't live up to what they were promising, and obviously did not care enough to stop themselves from spreading falsehoods.

Sir, if you're indeed the man responsible, I urge you - Tweet this to the Mass Effect Twitter feed, for Great Justice!
Seriously, it bears saying a million times - if the bods at BioWare actually watch it, then we might just have a cat in Hell's chance of getting a resolution that salvages something good from this whole mess, rather than add fuel to the fire.

I love most of your video, but I disagree with your assertion that Indoctrination Theory is an ass pull...Yougottawanna wrote...

It's not. Even if Indoctrination Theory is not correct...
tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AssPull
Indoctrination has been a major part of the Reaper plotline since the first game. Shepard is a person fighting creatures who indoctrinate people. Shepard fighting indoctrination is not an ass pull...
An ass pull would be something fans couldn't make a thirty minute video about before it's explained...
What Indoctrination Theory is, however, means the current ending is this trope...
tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheEndingChangesEverything
Which is a wholly inappropriate way to end this series...
You also mentioned whether the Reapers would become half organic. They are already half organic...
Balak calls them "Organic Dreadnoughts", but Legion goes into detail...

Also, The Quarian known as Kal'Reeger and his squad died repairing a critical communications tower on Palaven. They were successful in their mission, though. You get an e-mail about it towards the end of the game...

The video was harsher on the indoctrination theory than I meant to be. I actually think it's a cool theory... I just don't think it's what Bioware intended. I also hope it's not what Bioware intended, because it would just be a terrible way to treat your customers.
It would work only if it were free and planned from the begining. Makeing us pay for it would be company image sucide.
