I actually liked those extra dialogues. Better than hearing Garrus ask me: "Can it wait?" 1,000 times because there are no more cut scene conversations.BloodySunset__ wrote...

The best youtube answer for the only problem of Mass Effect 3.
Well, to me one of the biggest problems. The auto dialogue and "kasumi dlc" style character conversations are up there for me.
Brand New Guy on Youtube, Amazing video.

It was pretty spot on for the most part too.

Bioware needs to take everyone into a room and have them watch this thing on the big screen.
This is seriously one of the best replies to the ending I've seen. Scratch that. It's the best reply.
This 100% this. ^^^
And thank you OP, that was exactly the type of well thought out response I had been looking for.

You know your ending is bad when people will willingly watch a 40 minute video that talks about how bad the ending is.

Its bad to the point where its not believable. I dont remember any other ending ever that has been so bad that I simply dont find it feasible
There is deus ex machina...and then there is the ending to mass effect 3

Couldn't agree more, I've never completed a game before and encountered and ending so terrible and out of key with the rest of the game that I had to check the internet to see if I screwed something up to end up with an ending that bad (keep in mind I ended the game with the *best* ending possible at 7000 assets and 100% readiness).

I might have thought Assassins Creed 2 ending terrible if I had actually invested over 150 hours into its gameplay and cared about the characters. Then again I hadn't (literally no f***s were given when Ezio's family died in the beginning so no character investment), so yeah thats the difference. It was a decent action game with a questionable ending, but in a story driven game you just can't pull this s^*t off.

And he speaks the Truth. His solutions actually work;
-Remove Catalyst
-Keep the mood going
-Make it simple
All that really needs doing as a bare minimum. I'd like a lot more, but its definitely the best starting point.

The people running ME twitter have nothing to do with game developement and they're probably not gonna intcomm Hudson or Walters "Hey heres insightful video of how not to screw up a videogame ending, oh wait you did already, well it also tells how to fix it!".

Trust me I used to do a really similar job running interference at a gaming company and there is next to no way when they use a generalization that "they" (meaning "all" ME3 developers I guess) have already seen this video is anything other than their attempt to placate the person mentioning this on twitter. If they would have said something specific like "You know after taking a look at this video I've personally sent this over to Casey to take a look over since I think it does a pretty good job at laying out out players concerns about the ending, hopefully it will help him and our other Developers address these in the future" you might actually have hope you were getting something other than lipservice (sad to say =/)

Trust me I used to do a really similar job running interference at a gaming company and there is next to no way that someone ran from the twitter feed into Casey's office (or any other Developers office) and told them to watch this.
Or you could, you know, post it on Casey's twitter. Or Mike's twitter.
https://twitter.com/#!/CaseyDHudson
Which I did just now.
Oh wait, I didn't post it on Mike's yet. Okay, now I did.
