I have no regrets of spending 40 minutes watching this video. This is the most detailed and on the point explanation of why the ending controversy started and where the ending failed.

I guess the bright side is I wouldn't have to live in a world with the current ME3 endings though! Always look on the bright side.

Edited: He explained what was wrong about the ending by explaining what was right about Mass Effect, the entire trilogy. It reinforced what I love about what Bioware has created here, and how the ending is so far removed from what they've been able to produce thus far.

Head and shoulders above the reviews and complaints I've seen so far, and more than worth the 40 minutes. Anyone who has gotten this far into the thread without watching it, watch the damn thing already.

Precisely. This is a thoughtful analysis, and I think the exact sort of discourse Priestly, et al described wanting to wait some time for. Not for more people to have a fresh dislike, but for those who'd already finished it to step back and think beyond more superficial, in-universe specifics to the fundamental storytelling.
