You're a writer, yet you liked the ending? That makes about as much sense as the ending itself.

Are you a writer? This story you claim to hate was written by one, the poster in question is a writer as well, you can't make sense of it just like you can't make sense of the ending. Could it be possible this storyline is just to much for you to grasp in your position of intelligence?

As a writer, how can you not see how nonsensical, contradictory and incoherent the ening is from a purely literary stand point?

I can see all that.

But, I can also see how the ending made me feel emotionally. It had emotional weight to it, while ME1 and ME2 never did. And writing that pulls you in>perfectly logical writing.

Every time. Every d*mn time.

Given your sig, I think you rather like taking and changing things that aren't yours.

Could you be any more condescending? I'm not even going to bother explaining the concept to you.

My sig is my opinion, and given the state of these boards, I wouldn't be far from the truth.

Your sig is deliberately inflammatory, counts as a personal attack and shows just how mature you are.

Oh yeah. Against BioWare, its employees, fellow forum members (myself included, three times). All because we have an opinion other than theirs.

Most deny it, but it's there. The posts and people have since been removed. But it got bad. And I mean bad.

LOL. Wow, just... wow. I thought only Star Wars fans and Trekkies were obsessed enough to pull stunts like that.

Seems like greengoron89 has missed quite a bit during his avoidance of the ME3 forums - not sure if I'm better or worse off for finding out.

All I know is that this has turned into less of a protest and more of a riot - three weeks since the game's release, and this place is still an inferno of psychotic rage.

And that's what gets you fans. Emotional attachment, it outweighs logic.

Dear god, are you people still on about the damn endings?

Look man, I thought the endings were absolute tripe, was hugely disappointed in the game, and voiced my dissatisfaction on here accordingly...

...yeah, like two weeks ago.

But this - this is bordering on being downright psychotic. .

People are still infuriated by how awful The Phantom Menace was...
And that happened thirteen years ago...

You think this is going to go away?

See, I wouldn't care. But you obviously do, so if you're so interested in integrity you should be impartial, no?

If I were building on what he said, you'd have a point. But I'm completely autonomous from him, so proving him to be right or wrong is not my job. It's yours.

LOL ! The "You don't get it" defence.
Unbelievable. You would do well to at least have a grain of respect for your fellow posters.

Some of them are more like a cult, but you're not far off. Halo players think its all ridiculous, so do COD players. It's gotten way out of hand.

So, in other words, you have no proof, we have to take your word.

(As if a few people saying bad things would prove a damn thing anyway.  But you can't even prove that.)

interesting thought.  i do sort of agree here:

http://social.biowar...ndex/10636496/1

i am worried EA is going to live up to the "capitalist greed" image they have portrayed since hitting the big time with Madden and force BioWare to charge us for it.  i'd prefer to think mean things about EA than BioWare.  i'd prefer to think this was intended on BioWare's part (with a plot twist, followed by a real ending) and EA forced them to cut it than think BioWare has fallen into the corporate greed trap or just plain screwed it up.

someone is mad bro.. why you care so much about siggy? It offends you but calling people names everyday doesn't offend those you call trolls? Shepard DOES demand better fans not ones who file lawsuits and take money from sick kids all because they can't get over an ending they gave em. Shepard is about making peace and bringing people together not fighting eachother like brats.

YOu are claiming to fight for a better Shepard ending, but you don't even know Shepard or what Shepard wants!

If you're happy with the ending - then DON'T-buy-the-DLC!
But 91% (refer to BW poll) are unhappy. So go home!

oh the poll that had 71k people? yes that really seems logical for a mere 5% of the fanbase to demand things changed to a game that effects over 2.6 or more million fans. Why don't you get logic!

Dridengx fails yet again to understand statistics.

Actually Jessica said RTM is about 9% of the fanbase.

And? More than enough people needed for a sample size voted on the poll.
Do you have anything to point at and say the non vocal customers like the ending? No.

You obviously do because you won't read articles or links before lashing out at people in threads.

Also, who gives a damn about user ratings or metacritic scores?

Welll, apparently EA.  See point 4. http://social.biowar.../index/10246768

4) Make your voice heard elsewhere, especially on Metacritic. When I worked for EA we were very sensitive to metacritic reviews, both player and press. As fans, we can directly affect player reviews by going and giving nuanced, specific critiques and low, but reasonable, scores. If you felt that the ending ruined the game, say in your review what you *would* have given the game had the endings not sucked. We can also affect press reviews by making our voices heard on youtube and whenever press coverage of the issue occurs. Note the downward trend in reviews since we started getting attention. There's a strong herd mentality among reviewers (for lots of reasons, some good, some not). If we make it clear that a lot of people are unhappy, future reviewers are likely to make more nuanced judgments about the overall experience of the game, instead of drinking IGN's kool-aid.

1) The Phantom Menace wasn't as bad as people made it out to be IMHO.

2) We're talking about Star Wars fans, here - if there were a "most psychotically obsessed fanbase" contest out there, SW fans would score silver at least.

Of course, there is no longer a fiery, Internet-spanning rage associated with Episode I anymore  - most people got over it.

That's pretty interesting, because the ending is exactly where my emotional attachment was cut. Through a lot of the game I was emotionally invested, I was on the border of crying when Mordin died, but after the ending there was nothing. It was just an emotional void rather than the closure that we were told to expect.

I am merely pointing out that your behaviour is questionable. You are doing everything you accuse those of us who hate the ending of doing. You lump us all together with a few extremists because it suits you. You act arrogantly because you think you have the superior intelligence to "get" the endings (hint: we "get" them, we still hate them).

YOu are claiming to fight for a better Shepard ending, but you don't even know Shepard or what he wants!

I'll speak for my Shepard, you speak for yours. I know what mine wants.
