I'm on my 3rd playthrough now and just finished the defense of redcliffe village, 2 of those times I (persuaded) the chantry mother to give the blessed amulets to Ser Perth and his knights, and both times Ser Perth died. The one time I didn't give them the amulets he survived. Is this a coinsidence or does the belief in false idols cause death? <_<

Did you persuade or bribe for money a dwarf with two thief thugs down at village, near watershore? they will then be at ser perth and takes waves of undead easily.

I did the 2 times with the amulets, where Perth died both times. He survived the one time i 'accidently' killed the dwarf.

I've done that three different times on three different characters. Only my made was able to persuade the Mother to give em the stuff, but reguardless Ser Perth has always survived to fight with me a the Castle. Frankly, the only one's that have ever died up there on the hill portion were one of Dwyn's henchies. So no, I never noticed an actual difference. What difficulty are you playing on? I imagine that on say hard or prolly nightmare there is a much better chance of Ser Perth dying...

As a side note, why is there no option to at least ask some of them to help out down in front of the Chantry? My second and third playthrough I've been able to do that portion in one try instead of the five it took on my first playthrough thanks to improved party management. (my mage ran out of mana and was killed by the last two guys, we we won overall).
