A good ending doesn't have to be happy to be good. In me3, death is present through all the game, so a "happy" ending is literally impossible.

i don't especially want a dysney ending.
it is Bioware's job to tell me a story so it is their job to end it as they see fit.

From that it comes that it is their job to make sure that the ending makes sense and not leave it to myself to speculate what the hell just happened. Not that i can't do it, but if that the case I can do it on my own without buying the game.

Something like you described yes, at least the option.
What some people want for the ending is for no one else to have a "happy" ending, though. And they think "happy" means something stupid like a wedding ceremony.
I think there needs to be varied endings.

Happy ending is also, when shepard dies but his crew can salute to his body, no escaping to the other planet

I have to agree wilth Billywaffles, I have enjoyed playing the Mass Effect triology and i dont ever remember a game or a movie that has been an emotional rollercoster as much as this Bioware masterpiece.

The Ending was good, would i like to see something different 'Yes' do i feel that bioware deserves the all the nasty coments 'No'. I have questions like alot of people, and i'm looking foward to see how and what will be addressed on the up and coming DLC.

If shepard is dead, allow people to say goodbye. Lets continue with the Mass Effect universe, theres more heros and stories to be discovered

Mass effect universe would be very difficult to continue, becouse your Shepard change very much. Other game placed in mass effect univers should depend on your choices from me1 and me2.
Also is impossible to made MMO mass effect, becouse not everybody save Rakni queen, made peace between geth and quarian, or they choose other ending.

You can't have a "Disney Ending" after the deaths of billions, including some of your close friends. But a more positive ending is something I would like to see. Having to dig out of craters and mourning the dead are inevitable, but that shouldn't take away the positive.

As I've said in another post, if I wanted to experience depression, I'd watch the news, not play a video game that has positive aspects in both earlier incarnations as well as during 3rd incarnation.

I'd like a real ending to start with, happy ending would be bonus but i can live with a sad one.

Edit : and yes, an open ending that leaves plausible possibilities for a new game in the ME univers .. not like every fleets of the galaxy stranded in the Helios local cluster.

can be done, if bioware made MMO before story of Me1 begin
after that it can be realy difficult to do it

Meeeeee!! I would love a happy ending!! Any great writer could make a great and happy ending option for us romantics!! Let there also be other endings for others too though!

I love happy endings, I have seen too many sad endings in real life to want to see them in my games and books.

The ending has to be the ending that you deserve. example if you played shepard good/paragon all the way and saved everyone you could, reunited Geth/Quarians etc. your ending should relay this. let you're time invested in you're shepard be rewarded.

But as far as ending to a game goes, it wasnt as bad as some people are making out.. i still enjoyed it.

did the game make me Smile / Laugh / Cry? damn right.

It should be hard to earn, but yes, the hell not?
Keep the current endings. *Make them less ****ty and plothole ridden
this will keep others happy, too.

There's so many things I disagree with, but I'm just gonna jump straight to it.
You lose at the very least three CLOSE friends.
You lose at least 60% of the galaxies beings.
HOW is that a disney ending?
