As the title says.A great great video worth the lenght.

*Spoilers* ...Enjoy.

Great stuff! Thanks...

To me the best beginning was ME2, me dying and burning in the atmosphere was really gripping....and the ending was great as well. So how could Bioware so royally screw up the ME3 ending just blows my mind...I'm still speachless after finishing the game about 2 weeks ago.

Amazing video. I feel like I've watched and read all of the criticism on the ending, and there is a lot of really good stuff out there, but this one the best. By a good margin. Whoever made this has my appreciation. Really well done.

Good points, but I feel like I have to comment on the presentation. Even if you commented, ripping off the Plinkett style just isn't cool. The Red Letter Media calling card is the fact that it's utterly unique from anything else out there, using the same jokes and presentation tactics cheapens you message, which I don't think should be done, because this is a very good breakdown of the narrative failings in the ending.

i only disagree with one point what he said, only deleting de god kid, isnt gonna make a good ending

god kid is a big point why the ending sucks and not the only one

Superb video, one that illuminates a simple fact: Mass Effect never lived up to it's potential. After finishing ME3, I can safely say it does not even belong in the same sentence with Star Trek. The creators and successors of the Star Trek franchise have done their best to stick to the original vision as layed out by Roddenberry. In contrast, Bioware has wh*red out their franchise in every way imaginable: lazy design, DLC, DLC, and more pointless DLC; inconsistent writing; pandering to calls for politically correct content; aping other combat systems; trying their best to generalize the appeal of the franchise; and the best was saved for last - a homogenized ending designed for more DLC to...explain the real ending. That's my take anyway.

The response from the ME3 twitter regarding this video was "Wow. 40 minutes long."
*sigh*

Okay, that bothers me a lot more than it probably should. :?

Great video that everyone should watch for artistic/literary things to gripe about.

Fantastic presentation of the problems.

Everyone at Bioware involved with writing the ending needs to watch this - and perhaps be assigned a homework project to ensure they actually grasped the content.

I REALLLLLLYYYYYY hope Bioware is watching this video...although even if they do....they'll probably say what they have so far..."we'll clarify the end"

God I hope indoctrination theory is right....

Dear God.

It's beautiful.

Normally I'd carry on for a few paragraphs with my own input... but that video did everything.

I feel a hell of a lot more satisfied with life right now.

I think all bioware needs to do is create a more clarifying ending. I think we should accept it the way it was intended but I would like to see clips or something that talks about the impact of the choices we make.

You should really watch the video.  We don't need clarification on the god-child and space magic.  They should be removed.

This video help sum up all the frustration of the ending into two words... Narrative Cohesion. If bioware watches only one bit I hope its that, as it completely sums up what was wrong in the ending with a visual to boot!

I did, he has a good point and would be okay with the removal.  But I disagree that it would be a terrible idea to have clarification.

It's terrible because the ending will still be bad as it is.

I don't know how we can assume that it will be when it has never happened.

Im not holding my breath about it.  its just something I don't agree entirely with and I agreed with everything else he said in that video, which is the other 90 percent.

I do not think they need to watch it or maybe they just don't have the time. But someone is payed a sallary to watch it believe me just like they read our nerd rage(s) everyday.I was saying that they do not NEED to watch because...Does anybody think they do not know what's going on? One of the best companies in the Gaming History filled with brilliant  people(Gaming business wise) all of a sudden are lost in the "myst"? Come on :)...I still maintain my personal opinion that all or most of our question will be answered via DLC just as planned from day 1 or day 2 or 3 somewhere in the developing proces :)..So we just wait for that 2 hour/10 $ or Euros DLC and then decide if this is the path we want to follow.

I like how he explains how the Mass Effect 3 ending is a failure without even mentioning that it's a videogame.

The ending actually fails on a fundamental storytelling level, and breaks the rules of storytelling that are present in ALL media (film/theatre/books/TV/graphic novels etc)
