If it's free to play, I'll try it.
If it has a fee, I'm not even considering it.
This. As soon as I heard SWTOR had a fee I canceled my preorder and never looked back. I already pay for internet. Xbox Live, and the video game. I refuse to pay a monthly fee in addition to those to play a video game.

Plus, I have SWTOR, so don't need another MMO.
Only if Sbarge voiced a LI in the game would I be interested.

That is why it surrpises me people own an xbox instead of a ps3.. you pay fees to play online?!?!
But you said you would never play an mmo because of the fees.. I... er... confused..
Seriously though, that is the reason why I will never support xbox, fees and service no different from a ps3, which is FREE.

Swtor is okay, but the novelty of it wears off after level 20 or so. They wanted to re-invent MMOs and give us story, which is a step in the right direction, but the limitations of the game really don't give you much of an exciting story.
Mass Effect is ALL about the story. There are some fun gameplay moments, but really I don't know anybody who plays it for actual gameplay.
I do not want to spend 100s of hours trying to level up my spectre by doing the same three types of fetch/click on this quests. The pay off would be watching the story progress...but again thanks to the limitations, I would be watching cutscenes that pale in comparrison to ME3. Editing would screw up the pacing, there would be less activity and more standing around, a dialogue wheel that consists of mostly yes, no, or what? answers, and I'd hear Steve Blums voice with every other character I run into.
Not interested.

SWTOR 1-50 was great. all story driven etc i loved it i have 6 50's and level 50 legacy, cause I love stories.
Endgame it falls like a rock with virtually nothing for single players to do but space missions... and frankly I don't have time to raid 4 hours on a week night when i work 12 hour days.
This. Raiding 4 hours on week nights reminds me of WoW. If I wanted to grind raids... i go back to my lvl 85 pally in WoW, she is already decked with raid epic drops. Why would I pay fees to play another game that does just about the same thing, except in different theme/skin/color?

As much as I hate to say it, these are my feelings as well. SWTOR was WoW with lightsabers and lasers and a lot of voice acting, and with the ME universe as it stands at the end of ME3 I have no desire to play in that game universe.Evil_medved wrote...
With ME universe ruined and with SWTOR showing how "good" bioware at mmos?
I don't think so.

If it takes place in the aftermath of the events of the series...the universe will be almost unrecognizable from what we originaly fell in love with. It'd almost be like doing an MMO for the Star Wars universe where it now resembles Battlestar Galactica more than the original lore.
If it takes place prior to the trilogy....it has the same problem that the other ME games do now in that it feels pretty hollow. You are experiencing and influencing a world which is already doomed to untold death and destruction no matter what happens in the story. I mean I guess it might be fun to create and level up a Salarian STG infiltrator....but damned if it doesn't kill the enthusiasm.
Side note:
I like my trooper in SWTOR. Haven't had time to play in a bit due to other games, but I don't mind it being WOW with lightsabers and voice acting. I wouldn't mind ME universe being WOW with biotics and guns for that matter.
Just retcon your bloody universe and make it right and then you can shut up and take my money.

I play single player games by an overwhelming majority. I just don't have *time* to devote to MMOs. RPGs are my favorite genre of games, and yet they seem to be an endangered species of game. If BioWare doesn't get their act together and stop trying to nickel and dime me for everything, I'm going to go back to just Japanese RPGs for the foreseeable future.
So, short answer, no. I don't do MMOs.

Why do people assume that BW would clone SWTOR?
MMO can mean anything, even Guild Wars.. which is withotu fees.
