If bioware had come out and said that they needed anouther year, 2 would you have waited.
Quite honestly I would have, especially after the comments that ME3 had the shortest developement cycle of any AAA title.
I would have been happy to wait after what I have seen, after the end we had, after the DLC that I can see happening. Yes I would have waited 2 happily and without complaint. Bioware you need to learn how to give things the proper time they deserve, dont rush stuff out the door.
Just imagine just how good ME3 could have been. We could have taken Omega, we could have used the galaxy map to deploy forces to fight the reapers, we could have had more than 2 second long LI scenes. The ME2 cast could have been more than just cameos, we could have flown the Normandy not just made it chase our cursor awar from Reapers. The journal could have been satisfactory. AND the end could have made sense.
I know why it was rushed. EA. ME3 is and will be a cashcow for some time now for EA. There will be DLC revenue sooner, just in general money sooner.... And this is why I dislike EA, well one reason.
How much longer would you have been willing to wait? 6 months, a year or two as I easily would have been willing to if Bioware had just said we need this time to just make it even better, or is ME3 something you really couldnt have waited a day more for?
Would you have waited?

Sure, why not? Longer dev cycle should mean a better product.

I've got no problem waiting ,it's not like there are not a ton of games to play anyway.

More time = better quality = better investment.
Sure, waiting sucks, but I'd do it.

ME3 did not get the time it needed to really finish the epic trillogy in a way it deserved.
EA doesn't care about what a franchise deserves or not and what it emotionally means to it's fans. They only care for how much pre-orders a brandname can bring in. And as long as pepple keep pre-ordering and buying on Day 1 that attitude will not change.
Now we are left with an incredibly dissappointing ending that will always be like that...it can not be undone. ME3s ending is already a meme in a negative way and will enter game history as such. The franchise did not deserve this.

Yes absolutely. Good things are worth waiting for.
I doubt that EA would appreciate that sentiment; they have a long history of pressuring developers into rushing to meet unrealistic deadlines, and to cut corners in order to meet these targets.

This. But it's the same everywhere you look. Everybody rushes, because everybody thinks only of short-term gains (in this case, selling earlier; compare people rushing to movie theaters to watch the Star Wars prequel episodes) than long-term gains (in this case, selling MORE, compare to how many people actually bought the prequels on DVD).Il Divo wrote...

They think they can compensate lost sales with after-sale elements - DLC, in this case. It's like making a shoddy car, selling it cheaper, and then thinking you can make a fortune on selling replacement parts. (BMW, we're looking at you, don't you dare look away)

Yep I would. It's not like I was holding my breath up to the release, plenty of other stuff to do to get impatient.

Yes, I would have waited. Maybe they could have released some more interim DLC for ME2, or even given us the multiplayer from ME3 seperatly, albeit without reapers as an opposition as they wouldn't have arrived in the universe. Saying that though, I'm not sure I would have played multiplayer without the incentive of getting my galactic readiness up.

I would have waited because...I'd have to. I would prefer it not be ANOTHER year but certainly months would be fine. "Go ahead and take a couple months, Bioware, to actually think about the create and ending for the game. Go ahead, don't just toss whatever's in your mulching pot onto the last part of the game and call it an 'ending'."
Yeah, I'd be fine with that. Deadlines were meant to be broken - they're GUIDELINES not redlines.

I ALSO would have been fine if they, for business reasons (cough-EA-cough) HAD to release on deadline BUT released with an open and honest statement that the game is VIRTUALLY complete but the ending is still being worked on and will be released a few weeks or a month after game release. That would bite but I'd still be OK with it.

I would have gladly not only waited two more years, but I would have gladly even paid more for it since it took longer, even though that is not expected of us.
Bottom line, as it stands now the game is a rushed mess in many regards. I would have gladly paid 100 dollars and waited two more years for it.
*Zaeed voice* Goddam I hate EA....

I would have gladly waited, a longer dev time would have meant more time for Bioware to do what they do best= make awesome RPGs.
I've been playing Skyrim a bit lately (cause I'm not ready to play ME3 again, not yet) and all the game breaking bugs/glitches have made me look at and notice ME3s bugs. It's made me realise how rushed the game is and how much of a mess it is in several places.
It makes me really sad that these products are released "faulty" to gamer consumers, like it's the expected norm--- and if gamers makes requests for patches and updates (simply asking for a product of acceptable quality like any other consumer would ask for) they get hounded and belittled and called "entitled"....it's sad that the gaming culture is viewed in such a way

Sorry, but the "enhanced" edition is for Deus Ex: Human Revolution only. Enhanced.
How about just "Full and proper edition, all finished, polished, complete for your entertainment"?
Sure, a bit wordy but still, doesn't leave any room for "speculation!"

i cant stress how much i anticipated this game, been looking forward so much and was kinda going nuts about it.
at the same time as it would have been hard to wait longer. i would not have minded it at all.
if they accually had taken the time to do things properly, id be happy i had to wait for it!

Of course... I would have respected them for it. If the game was larger, more complex and deeper with more closure I would happily have paid double. SERIOUSLY.
Now...I'm just grumpy as hell and wont buy another EA product.
Hold the line.

Hell yes I would have waited if it meant pushing out a complete and polished product from start to finish. I'd give a year - maybe even two if BW indicated that it was really needed.
My pile of shame is quite substantial. Plenty of filler.
