So hell yes, I would have waited and while being unlucky because of the delay at the same time full of anticipation.

But like DA2... EA wanted the money these games bring in, sooner rather than later. ME3 does feel rushed, and it isn't as good as what it could've been, but why would a big company like EA care? The game has its ending, time to ship it.

I don't think there is a single person that wouldn't have waited.

Quite honestly I would have, especially after the comments that ME3 had the shortest developement cycle of any AAA title.

Don't believe everything you read. Some people also said, that endings look like they look because Bioware lacked ideas and time to make something different. Which is not true, especially if you read art book from CE, and watch "The Last Hours of Mass Effect 3" you'll realize, that THESE are the endings they wanted. ALWAYS. In fact, they are as polished as could be. Which hurts even more. They had time and resources to deliver something else, but went with... THIS.
But i digress - the point is, they had a lot of time, game is not rushed at all (anyone who played DA2 knows, how a rushed game looks, and ME3 is not one of those).

I wondered how they could come out with the game so quickly after the 2nd one, now I know, they rushed the job.

Sure, why not? Longer dev cycle should mean a better product.

That's why I said "should.":pinched:
And, to be honest, too many developers were involved in DNF.

That was a quote from Casey Hudson.
And they detail the problems they had with coming up with the ending in the Final Hour App.

To the question asked: Yes, I would have waited up to one year extra for ME3 if it meant more fleshed out characters (Mostly the ME2 cast) and missions (Horizon comes to mind, as does Mars)

But for endings, we would still need Casey and Mac not have influence over them.

Then they realized they were running out of time and spent the remaining five months half-assing Cerberus and the Reapers. Indocrinated Space Naz*s and Space Magic.
So, yeah. I would have waited.

Right now, it looks like they spent one year making sure Tuchanka was perfect. Then another year doing the same for Rannoch.

Considering I'm a Blizzard/Half Life/(former) Duke Nukem fan, a couple extra years is nothing. Games should not be released until they're ready. If nothing else, developers could at least learn that from Nintendo.

also guys think of it like this if ea did hold the game off again what makes you think ea wouldnt try and force team death matches or capture the flag for multiplayer?
now im not hating on the co-op its fun but we cant assume the single player is the only thing they would work on
