I definitely would not have preordered the collector's edition. But I was going in with the rumors already out in full swing; just didn't believe it would be that bad.
Would You Have Bought ME3 if you knew?

If I had known the ending would be so bad, I wouldn't have bothered to buy ME3... I would have imagined an ending for myself instead. It would have been better than the one I got.
Just my opinion. Thanks.

NEVER! Well I just would not have bought the collectors edition and I would have waited until it was 20 bucks.

Also since we have been told that we are supposed to imagine the ending by Bioware what is the point of spending $80 on the game in the first place? I agree I wish I had just imagined a better ending with out throwing $80 down the drain.
Hold the line for as long as it takes to get new endings.

I think i would've but i wouldn't have bought the collector's edition and i would've waited a bit rather than rushing to find somewhere to buy it because everywhere had ran out of copies.

Yes. But I wouldn't have pre-ordered, I wouldn't have bought the Collector's Edition, and I wouldn't have bought if for both the XBox 360 and the PS3.

Not sure myself, i avoided specific ending spoilers ahead of getting the game myself.
TBH i really want to take a moral highground and say no i wouldnt, i would have created my own end at the end of ME2 by epicly failing the suicide mission and getting everyone killed because to be honest if i had the impact would have been the same as the ending i got for ME3.
In fact scrub that a huge failing of the SM and death all round would actually have been more epic than the ending i got.
So yes i think i probably still would have bought the game just to see for myself.
That wont be happening in the future with Bioware they have lost all trust i have in them. Fan reviews, you tube clips and no pre orders for me next time round

I didn't know about the endings. But honestly, even if I would have known? I probably still would have bought it. I was too curious to see how the genophage and geth/quarian conflict played out, and I was really curious about how they would handle all the characters.

I had heard rumors about a bad ending if I recall, I obviously still bought it. Bad endings or no its a 3rd and "last" installment in a game trilogy that I really enjoy. Although the "last" part seems to be slowly ticking away.

Even if I knew, I still would have wanted to see it for myself. Youtube videos can't convey all of the context that goes into a scene.

I'm going to buy it again for PC when I actually can... so yes I would have bought it anyway if I knew....
Best game ever, just a shame the ending didn't give me closure :'(

I would have waited 'till DLC came out that fixes the ending

Yup. Even though I preordered last year, I had heard about the endings a couple of months before the game was coming out. I was, of course, skeptical, but even after they were confirmed, I still kept my preorder. And I'm glad I kept it! The game had so many good moments, so many good things.

Didn't know anything about endings but heard Casey say 'some people wouldn't be happy with the endings."
I figured it would be people upset they didn't get 'their fluff' & Shep might die. I was fine with all that, as long as it meant something.
Never did I expect what I saw! It was so.........*no description available*
I would have probably cancelled my Collectors edition preorder & not taken a week off of work just to play the game. But I still would have bought it, because I never would have believed it was as bad as people were saying, until I saw it for myself.
That said, I do know people who aren't buying it because of what they've heard.

The problem is you can never truly grasp how bad the ending really is, just by reading about it or watching it in a video. You have to experience it for yourself with the weight of dozens of hours of gameplay on your shoulders. And then its too late.
So I must admit, as a fan, I probably would have bought the game regardless.

Yes, I still would have. I have faith in Bioware that the ending, while not necessarily being changed, will be explained / added upon in order for it to make more sense.

Since the game did such a great job of building up my hope and dashing it at the end, and has left me pretty depressed for weeks, I probably wouldn't have bought it if I had known all that. After hearing the backlash, I'd probably have waited 'til the April announcement. Would have saved me a lot of heartache.
This about sums it up, no pre-order, no collectors edition especially >_<
Lesson learned for the future though.

Yes. I still love the game, even if the endings depress the hell outta me.
