...apart from all those bases (possibly including the Collector Base) that Cerberus built beyond the Omega-4 relay and that large space station (Omega) that they control. Why do all the characters (including TIM) act as if the fall of Cronos Station marks the end of Cerberus as an organisation when they clearly have many more bases and hideouts across the galaxy?

I'm hoping that the possible Omega DLC pack will tie up these loose ends.

Cerberus is an ideology, so destroying the base or killing TIM for example won't get rid of Cerberus, as long as the ideology satisfies twisted minds out there Cerberus will live on. I know some will disagree but I compare it to ****sm (since that's an ideology, not just a "person"). The threat that the ideology of Cerberus poses is very viable for future content if you take it for what it is, being an ideology that the Illusive Man started and would inevitably find new followers over time even if the initiator is dead due to any reasons.

I agree that it is an ideology, but I was just confused at the way that Shepard and TIM were convinced that the organisation was destroyed with the fall of Cronos Station when it clearly wasn't. The fall of one space station proves nothing when the organisation in question has numerous bases across the galaxy including Omega.

It's stated pretty clearly in ME2 that TIM over sees every operation Cerberus does, removing him is cutting off the head.

You've also killed his best agent and his most loyal supporters, and if you've done all the side quests, defeated most of his army and stopped a lot of their plans. You have well and truly beaten them at that point.
