Its silly to hold back people from buying anything really, i advised some friends that the 3rd had a terrible ending, but the game itself was still amazing, no reason to tell people not to buy this.

Neither, I actually encouraged people to buy it. The series as a whole is still good, even with the ending ME3 is one of the best games released from 2011-2012.

3. I encourage them wait for a dlc with real end and choices. They arent fans like me but like the game. However, i said that Me3 is great until the holes at end and all the choices dont exist.

Zero. Most of my friends who like (or used to like for that matter) Mass Effect got this game on release day. Damage has been done. I MIGHT have prevented by brother from getting a copy by showing him the craptacular ending(s). But he was never a big fan of the series anyway. Refreshing to see someone who wasn't a major fan calling the endings "stupid". That made my day.

Wow I guess I'm ashamed to only have gotten 2 friends to hold off until things are "properly fixed". Two other friends preordered the game and were "speculating" [read as griping] about the ending. :)

2. Didn't finish the game in time to hinder the third one.

I told them to stay put until after I would review the situation in April for them.

7 that I'm sure of - 2 of them asked to borrow my game, hated the ending and thanked me for saving them $60.

4. A friend and I are both being asked by 4 friends to keep them posted on the progress. I respect their consumer rights to be informed of the products they purchase. Even "art".

Same here, I beat over Spring Break and my brother goes "are you serious, THAT is how they ended it?"

I have not stopped anybody from buying the game although i hate the endings this doesn't mean i have the authority to dictate what some random guy or girl or my friends can and cannot buy.

Nobody cuz nobody plays ME3 here! In fact, I tried to get some people to buy ME3. They said it had too much talking.

I tell people the truth. If they don't mind a terrible ending, it's a terrific game. If they mind bad endings, then they should stay away. But all my friends bought it before I knew about the ending, so meh.

I nearly put two people off. I had to say that the endings aside, the game is actually excellent.

Bioware deserves our support, even if they messed up the ending. There is NO other game anywhere near as interactive, immersive and cinematic as this one was and I am a happy customer. And they got really, really good at the core gameplay as the series progressed as well.

None, as only one of my friends plays video games and he's a WoW fanatic. But my brother recently sold the game back after hearing bout the ending(s).

None, I'm all about free will and I don't tell other folks what to do with their $$$. I wrote a couple reviews that expressed my disgust but I'm not going to spend my spare time tackling people in front of GameStop, it's bad form.

5.

3 of them were asking me if the trilogy is worth getting into, so i told them to wait until the ending is fixed or just dont play any of the games.

2 of my friends i convinced by telling them that there no choice, and they caved once they heard that.

I'm more for an old fashioned RPG than interactive movies like DA2 and ME3.  Just my preference.  So I'm not going to support EAware anymore.

I told one to wait until the price drops below $40 because its not worth full price. He's on PS3 so considering all the bugs posted about the PS3 version i think its fair.

Other than that most of the game people I talk to have either bought it or don't plan on it. They're either big BioWare fans or fans of the JRPG genre with no overlap. So we're all having a big laugh over the Doctors dissing the linearity of JRPGs a few years back.

3 that i'm sure of - 2 from buying ME3 and one from buying the whole series (so count 5 copies?). what're you gonna do when someone asks "how was it"? my answer, "great... until the ending." but i wouldn't say i prevented anyone from buying it. it's bioware's own doing, and they should know a thing or two about word of mouth.

I talked one in to buying back in ME2. I talked one in to buying before I played ME3 which I had purchased already. Now I have since apologized to both profusely.

I have now talked two out of buying, at this time anyway. They would not have even considered buying unless we were talking about it. So I'm at least even.

I still feel I started a big mess which upsets me.
