At least he is still on our side, but then he's a real gamer, not a tool like people on kotaku and ign.

That video is funny, especially the Seinfeld bit about artistic integrity!

I didn't manage to let him survive so far. shot him once and the other two times he sacrificed himself.
Just because I never could kill Wrex. And now I have to kill him once anyway and lose a ton of War assezs as well.
And I'm almost always for the softie characters; Leliana not Morrigan, Merrill and not Hawke, it's a tough habit to brake.
I did a playthrough where I didn't let Wrex join the team in ME1, and then in ME2 Wreav was the Urdnot clan leader and he said Wrex was dead, so I guess even if you don't kill him, he dies anyway.

We must send Weekes something, he deserves it work talking without pr talk. Some good information, but it means I just hate EA even more. They clearly rushed bioware.

Just wanted post this over here since it's CP/Retake/BW related. Thought people might find it interesting.

I'm really disapointed with all of the apparent financial restraints too. I mean. They knew this game was going to sell. The CEs were sold out pretty quickly. Why limit it so much?

Heh. You know at this rate we won't need to do anything, EA is going to murder itself at this rate haha. Granted we gave it the push off the edge, now we just need to wait for it to hit the ground with a very satisfying, thump. Though I will feel guilty for those who might lose jobs...erg...never thought of it like that. But no revolution of anything is done without loss.

Sorry, but for me it's still true that CP is a worthy charity, but the people behind seem fishy and shady to me.

I don't exactly see how that absolves them from all guilt, considering how they conveniently missed all the instances were companies were using them for pr, but somehow not when RETAKE chose them as the charity to receive our donations,.
Because they weren't really looking and no one thought to tell them, likely.
But the Retake thing was covered in many places, /and you know, a certain someone(s)
may have specifically mentioned it to them... totally for innocent purposes mind you, and with
no other motive in mind... /end sarcasm
Next time I donate it's straight to Sick Kids here in Toronto, where the hospital IS the charity.
One thing CP got right, it's the cause that's important (whether or not they actually heed that)

On the first point, yeah--UN specifically asked CP if it was ok. EA not asking permission is just weird. I found that to be the most disturbing part.
On the second point, I totally agree, and this is why I never felt any ill will toward CP. CP is the cause, and it got to a point where people were confused about this. I totally understand them wanting to take back control of the situation.

I can totally understand the pov of you two and it's certainly not wrong.
Maybe I'm just a "grumpy old man", but I hold a grudge against those two guys now, however unreasonable it may be.
Or maybe it's the cyninc in me who does not quite believe that the two heads of CP didn't know about those other drives as well.
And last but not least, since again people wanting their money back was listed as a reason for ending the drive, I would like them to back this with numbers.
How many people wanted their money back, how many actually pulled their money out?
How much money did they have to pay back?
If they cite this as a reason again and again, show some proof that it was really an issue, because that claim still paints us in a very bad way.

We're getting off topic from the art contest here--but I just wanted to add that Dilon made a comment about ending the charity having a lot more to do with the barrage of e-mails they got about Retake than about the return of donations. The returns issue was from the slightly snarky PA statement, which again, Dilon made a point of down playing in their later statement.

Just for the record, though, I didn't specifically ask them if it was OK to have the petition as part of the fundraiser, so they didn't know about that at first either

Colour me confused... Does this mean the official deadline for the contest has been moved or just for doing anything birthday related?
It's unrelated to the contest, I think. Just for fun.

Anyway, I sure missed a lot... not at all surprised by what's happened though, but it is nice to see EA getting embarrassed.
