just wondering... since i've heard that Morrigan is a good party member to pick up. I didn't seem to have the opportunity for her to join my party the first time that we went into the Wilds for the opening quests to join the grey wardens. will i meet her again to maybe pick her up?>

You get her when you leave the wilds after the battle. Se is a great party member but as I play with a dw fighter I need Alistair to my group allong with a healer and a rogue so not space left. I suppose that if you have the pick lock ability or if you are a rogue or if you are the tank of your group then you could add her in place of Leliana or Alistair.

One suggestion(to contradict Yian): There is no way that you *have* to play the game. You can do quite well enough without a dedicated healer, or healer period. You can skip chests/go without a rogue, and realistically, you don't really *need* a tank. Find a party setup that works for the way you want to play, and roll with it. Don't worry about how other people played the game.
Also remember that the basic heal tree is still available to Morrigan(and you pretty much can't not recruit her).
That's my 2 cents for you, anyways.
