[Rhys Cordelle]

For those of us who like to give our characters a bit of depth and personality of their own, I'm interested to hear what character concepts people have come up with. Here's a few of mine:

Caleb: A human male mage. Caleb has always struggled to read peoples emotions and often finds himself confused by peoples reactions to the things he says. He is sometimes mistaken for one of the Tranquil due to his calm demeanor and monotone voice. Most other apprentices seemed to assume Caleb would request the Rite of Tranquility, but Caleb was always a determined student and had no intention of giving up his power. Magic is the one thing that can evoke strong emotion in Caleb. After his Harrowing and the events with Jowan, Caleb finds himself fascinated with the idea of Blood Magic. He'd always considered that he would join the Isolationist Fraternity once he became an Enchanter, but this had more to do with his unsociable nature, more than his ethical views of how mages should fit into society. Now, given his new fascination with blood magic, he favours the Libertarians.

He becomes more determined than ever to liberate the mages after the Rite of Anullment is almost used against the Circle. He decides then and there that the Chantry and their Templars have too much power over the mages, and something must be done about it.

Due to Calebs nature, he does not travel with companions when he can help it, though the Mabari hound he agreed to aid in Ostagar now won't leave his side.


Perappi: A gay Dalish Elf (coincidentally he's the only gay in the village, bless him). Perappi flatly refused to abandon his tribe, forcing Duncan to invoke the Rite of Conscription on him. Even then he would have refused, but Duncan explained that without going through the Joining, Perappi would not survive the taint he had been infected with. Reluctantly, Perappi follows Ducan into human society. He has no compassion for humans, and becomes enraged when he sees elves being treated as servants or worse.

It's not until Zevran comes into his life that Perappi considers the possibility of a relationship, though neither of them really know how to be loving.
