For those who are saying that PS3 being excluded is because of Sony's data collection policies. Two games made by a 3rd party which had data collection working just fine on PS3, and this is just off the top of my head, are Catherine and Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit. NFS was published by EA and runs off of their servers. Your argument is totally moot. Especially considering the fact that Bioware even stated they had collected user data from ME2 on PS3 and used it to help with bug fixes. The whole idea that any portion of the online experience could be restricted is ludicrous considering the fact that once you are connected to EA's servers they can soft patch anything they want into the game or take any data they want. Once that connection has been established, the pipeline is open. Use your brain and think about it, they soft patch weapon balancing and new special co-op store packs just fine and the leaderboards work just fine. If Sony was halting their communications then they wouldn't be able to do any of that and the option to send feedback to EA wouldn't be able to be activated at all. Do a search online. All other games that utilize a data collection platform have zero issues doing so on PS3.
This. BW doesn't have any problem taking real money for packs, and they do track N7 promotions on your profile for PS3 There should be no problem for this weekend. Is there money from MS to exclude the PS3? I've heard these rumors before and it would make sense from a marketing perspective...
