You know it occured to me that neither Bioware nor Sony care about their customers or potential future customers.
If one of them cared they would either find a way to overcome the "technical difficulties" or would find a way to make the contracs and policies work to satisfy their customers. Neither did that and they both obviously don't care.

sony says is bioware fault

Just curious, but got a link to Sony official statement about that?

Also, lol@"bio bots". Guess throwing terms like that around means you've already made up your mind and are not interested in dialogue... who's the real "bot" here?

What regions exactly does this promotion apply/not apply to?

I also want to know. I've already promoted 2 characters and I'm going to be mad if it was for nothing.

If the timing is anything like the previous Operations...Raptor isn't live yet, or is it?

Can this be 2 promotions of the same class, or does it have to be 1 promotion of 2 different classes?

Most people didn't get their reward as they should have. The solution was to contact support and ask them to add you the pack manualy.

Lul wat? I'd say over 95% of people got their packs properly with no additional effort.

doesn't seem to matter much now since the servers are off line. Can't even reach customer support.

Disappointed to see no-one has bothered to update this thread with the message contained in the blog confirming that PS3 users are, once again, excluded from the weekend's event.

Like others I'd be appreciative of a little transparency. All we seem to be given is generic, ambiguous statements. If BioWare would level with us and at least explain what these problems are (ESPECIALLY because, as it's been pointed out many times, the tracking that would enable them to see whether or not PS3 users met the criteria is ALREADY IN PLACE) we'd likely have much more empathy for their situation. As it is they are dissuading a reasonable chunk of their playerbase from buying another BW title for no good reason.

I understand part of the blame may also be Sony's fault, but until BW communicate in a more direct manner it's difficult to reach any conclusion other than they are, at least, partially culpable for this mess.

I'm upset that once again my friends and I are not benefiting from the full ME3 MP experience. Coupled with the SP horror stories I've heard (not finished it yet, and am not any longer in a hurry to do so) this game is shaping up to be a little disappointing. It's frustrating as the ME series is golden, and the MP addition is sublime. I just wish we could enjoy it to the extent everyone else is.

So please, BioWare, fix this problem. In the meantime, talk to us! Tell us what it is that is causing this issue and maybe give us the contact details of whoever it is at Sony we need to rally against. I've already called the support line twice and was basically told they had no idea what I was talking about.

Your top sentence already told me you did not bother reading the Opening post.

Cuz if you did, you would have noticed the following.

---
This operation includes PC and Xbox 360; we are continuing to work with
Sony to enable these types of Operations on the PlayStation 3 platform.
We appreciate your patience, and we expect an update later this week
regarding Operation Raptor and the PlayStation 3.

If you go read the bioware blog it states that raptor will not be on ps3.

BW is taking their sweet ass time in updating this thread. (if they even bother at all).

@ Syrellaris may be you should take your own advice and go read:

http://blog.bioware....eration-raptor/

*Some restrictions may still apply, Operation Raptor is not open in all regions. Due to restrictions on the PlayStation 3 platform, we are unable to offer Operation Raptor to our PlayStation 3 users. We apologize for this inconvenience and we will continue to work with Sony to extend our weekend Operations to the community. Thank you.

If it's the same thing as the first event, we'll be getting a commendation pack with a random N7 weapon and the other pack we get for the community wide goal is just a veteran pack

A shame you didn't continue to read, as I was aware of the statement on the front page of this thread.  However, rather more information is now available here:

blog.bioware.com/2012/03/28/operation-raptor/

In short, the PS3 is excluded.  I thought it might be nice for BioWare to have updated this thread with that (rather important) info.  I'm sure they will soon, but the remainder of my post was more to do with my frustration at missing out of the event as I happen to play on a PS3.

Edit:  Ninja'd

This is what we want.  I don't care who is to blame, or if both are, just give a damn answer so we can stop wondering and slinging mud.

Vague statements aren't cutting it and the PS3 side of your consumer base feels slighted.  Throw us a bone here.

Raptor doesn't start till 8pm EST Friday and ends 2am EST monday.

Bonuses do not stack you get 1 - N7 box and 1 - victory pack even if you promote 203874 guys.

Yes the PS3 is screwed again, but please can we get over it? They are working on it but they should give you something. Now stop beating a dead horse.

Anymore questions I can answer?

NVM. I'm officially done with MP now and forever unless this issue is fixed. If it isn't, well I've done everything there is to do anyway.

Garbage policies and vague statements are not an answer.

We don''t need to level up from lvl 1 to 20, right? Just promote the character?

You can only Promote a character if their class has reached Level 20...
