Your me3 copy is on pc.... So that point isn't really valid.

I wish they would at least give us a real update about this. I plan on playing this weekend anyway but the thought of the event will still be there. Would be fun to get at least something. If we have to live with Xbox/pc getting an exclusive event I don't see the harm in giving us a completely different event until this is fixed. What is fair for us isn't fair for them too?

To be a PS3 player and stop crying.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it's 42... close though.

To those that are Crying: A. Didnt your mom ever say If you have nothing nice to say don't say it at all.

She also said: "The squeaky wheel gets the grease"

and B. Didn't your father ever say "Quit B*tching about it and Do
something about it." meaning in this case either Shut up and play or
Shut up and Not play OR Shut up and get it for PC360.

Im saying this OWNING A PS3, Yes they should do SOMETHING for you but they aren't. Get over it.

We are doing something about it, we're informing BW that we're upset.  Thats really the only thing we can do besides fly to BW hq and knock on their door.

Shutting up is the exact opposite of doing something actually.

If PS3 players do not get any reward(s), do our character promotions during the operation still count toward the community goal of 150,000 promotions?

Well apparently the issue is that BioWare can't tell how whether PS3 users have promoted characters or not.  Therefore they can't give them rewards as they might be giving these packages to players who did not earn them.  In that case, no, our promotions won't make the slightest difference to the community's chance of success.

Whether you buy that reasoning is another matter entirely as we can already see (PS3 players included) how many promotions we've made on this very site!

Syrellaris, I might be reading your post incorrectly but I think you've misunderstood.  The OP here still reads that they will update when they can regarding the possibility of PS3 involvement.  As such no decision has been made, and the PS3 community MIGHT still be able to participate.

In the link I provided you can clearly see the PS3 community will NOT be able to participate.  How is that the same thing?  Sorry if I'm coming across a little rude but I'm confused by your posts and angered by BioWare's handling of the issue in equal measure.

As someone else point out, I'm pretty sure EA/BW know when you promote your class. Your N7 rating goes up, you get your fake email from Hackett, your war assets increase, and the big shocker, your class is now level 1 in MP. As long as "share online data" is on, they certainly know. I think EA/BW want some other information which Sony doesn't want to divulge, or some kind of agreement with M$.

problem is they don't know, Sony prevents them from getting your non-personal data.
BW has no idea what your military assets are like (on any platform because thats single player) but they also cannot check your multi-player characters level because Sony's privacy policy prevents them.

Just because you get something in Single player doesn't mean they know.
also they can't check your N7 rating, even if they could they don't know when and how you got it.

Sorry guys but there is no conspiricy by Microsoft,  it's just Sony being douches again.
do some research into Sony being douches and you'll find this isn't the first time and certainly not the last.

Look up the time they sued a small business owner into bankrupcy for selling Japanese PSPs outside of Japan.

Can I introduce you to the menu on the left , option My Games, select Mass Effect 3. See how much Bioware knows about your War Assets and character promotions. As for your N7 rating, it's stored on EA servers, not Sony.
I would advise you to pay particular attention to the Rating. Take note of the current figure, now go promote and come back and look at it again.

Unless I'm mistaken, they can track our promotions... this is right on their site under My games -> Mass Effect 3 - PS3

Image IPB

(I haven't promoted anyone yet)

Maybe they can't add packs on a per-account basis? Doesn't give a reason we couldn't get the victory pack though, and we already did get a pack on a 1-per account basis... the free pack we get when we first logged into MP.

Who knows what's really going on... I'm just getting tired of the same old PR line that we're getting from BW.  If it's not their fault, be more specific so we can go pester sony with specifics, if it is a problem on BW's end, own up to it.

All corporations are giant douches, sir. I would find scant little to make me think of any of Sony, EA, or M$ as some kind of benevolent force for good. If you assert that EA is unable to track MP data due to Sony refusing to let them, why can I go on the leader board and check right now? Space magic?

If they're networked enough that the website has this information listed, I find it hard to believe that they can't properly award PS3 players for promotions, at least. Killing brutes, maybe, but not this. At the very least, this is evidence against the possibility that they do not have enough data.

my point earlier though is the fact that They know that PS3 customers are pissed. so crying about it more on here is doing nothing.

No B*tching on here is still doing nothing about it. Its not a Solution to the problem. Its just B*tching.

The game was not advertised or described as having a different play/content experience according to which version you purchased (aside from some bonus order items, some of which were platform specific). Bioware claimed the feature experience would have been the same whether you chose xbox ps3 or pc.

Customers have the right to object to a product not living up to the claims made of it. It is a legitimate complaint. Recourse is a matter of preference, and I prefer currently to publicize the issue and press Bioware to own up for their fault in failing to provide on that parity promise, in the hope that it is corrected ASAP.

Until we get an answer, I'm probably going to keep ****ing. If it bothers you, there are plenty of other threads to set up residence in.

So has there been any official response from Bioware about whether or not the PS3 will be included in this event? I've been playing all week and got characters ready for promotion. Nothing was said pre-launch about one platform being excluded from certain content so I think we at least deserve a clear answer.

They have mysteriously refrained from updating the info in this thread. I personally don't care about the event very much, but it's disappointing to see the company resort to these kinds of measures when dealing with ME3-related issues.

*Some restrictions may still apply, Operation Raptor is not open in
all regions. Due to restrictions on the PlayStation 3 platform, we are
unable to offer Operation Raptor to our PlayStation 3 users.
We
apologize for this inconvenience and we will continue to work with Sony
to extend our weekend Operations to the community. Thank you.

I think that's a pretty categorical 'NO' as to whether we PS3 users will be in on the action, unfortunately.

To all the ps3 players, just to let you know up front I'm an xbox user. But I think it sucks that you all can't participate in this event. I can't see why bioware can't give you all an xp boost like last weekend so at least you all are getting something. Another thing is like to see that probially never will happen is that all of us could play togther. I don't know who dropped the ball on this but it needs to get fixed.

Starts in around either 2 hours 45 minutes or 3 hours 45 minutes, I believe.
I'm not quite sure which one, as I'm not in the US and am unsure if PST will have changed to PDT or not.

Either way, you'll see a "Welcome to Operation Raptor" screen on Multiplayer when it starts.

They might have started it early, they did that last week I believe, I might wait for an official update here, just cause I plan on promoting all 6 of my guys and don't want to screw it up.

Exactly. I live in Sweden (GMT+1), so it only makes sense that it starts a little earlier here since it says May 30 - April 1 and it's only 15 minutes left on May 30.

I'm very eager to promote though since all my classes are lvl 20

do some research into Sony being douches and you'll find this isn't the first time and certainly not the last.

Look up the time they sued a small business owner into bankrupcy for selling Japanese PSPs outside of Japan.

Wait, what?

So.. my character on Dragon Age Origins, that appears on the Bioware website, using the same data submission software as ME2 and ME3, isn't available to Bioware? The equipment on my Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2 characters, that appears on the Bioware website.. Bioware can't obtain that information? My galactic readiness, that appears on Bioware's website.. Bioware doesn't have access to it?

Ignoring the facts, and mis-using Sony's past just to make it seem like Bioware has never done anything wrong now or ever before, it simple ignorance and biase.

Oh, and your story about "Sony suing a small business owner into bankrupcy for selling Japanese PSPs outside of Japan." was actually putting the company out of business, not putting the owner into bankrupcy, and it was only for sales of asian PSPs in Europe, due to electrical differences between the regions and potential harm to the hardware and user because of it.

But good job TRYING to make Sony look bad. Didn't work though.
