What do you mean "seems"???  It's already an established fact that people (kids) can't read or comprehend what they read anymore. They can't spell worth a damn, just look around on the forums.  And common sense is so rare that it's a super power. Parents don't bother to teach their kids anything anymore & the school system is a pathetic joke.

Instead of reading it's easier to just demand the packs immediately.  NOW! NOW! NOW!

I like the weekend operations, but I do think there should be some other standard reward for promoting characters. Just getting some points doesn't seem good enough, we should at least get some kind of pack or something.

Are you reffering to the normal promotion not connected to week challenge? You want a pack each time you promote a character? That would be nice. More people would promote.



BTW, i just promoted 4 classes and, now, i have n7 level of 163. How did that happen? I had 120 with all 6 classes on 20 and i should have gotten 10 for each promotion. How did i end up with 3 levels more? That is so stupid. Now, my n7 level will not be round number. I wanted 200. 203 looks bad.

A lot of people are having glitches with how characters get promoted (they hit the promote button and it either clears the points but leaves them at 20 or it says they are level 1, but one character still has all their points spent). Is there any way to confirm if promotions went through and were recorded?

Did you go and make three characters? Cause those Level 1's get added on too...

@ Above... I have no idea if they are recorded or not. My War Assets say 225 for N7 teams (2 Infiltrators and a Vanguard). But in multiplayer I have the second set of Infiltrators that are NOW level 10 (after I played) with like -40ish points...

The Reaper horde is growing, so we must as well. Effective military strength needs to increase, and veterans must train conscripts so that they, in turn, can train others.

Allied Goal: Promote 150,000 characters. Victory Packs awarded to all players upon successful completion.
Individual Goal: Promote 2 characters. Commendation Pack awarded to individual players upon successful completion.


Welcome to the next N7 Multiplayer Weekend!

Last weekend our community operatives united to train a record number of new recruits. The time has come to turn these new recruits into battle-hardened veterans.

Join the war against the Reapers online between 5PM PST Friday, March 30th to 5AM PST Monday, April 2nd and promote at least 2 characters to your single player campaign.

This operation includes PC and Xbox 360; we are continuing to work with Sony to enable these types of Operations on the PlayStation 3 platform. We appreciate your patience, and we expect an update later this week regarding Operation Raptor and the PlayStation 3.

Commendation Packs will be awarded to individual soldiers who complete their training, and a Victory Pack will be awarded to everyone if the Allied Goal is achieved. Packs will be available to download the following week. Please note that participants need to set “Upload Gameplay Feedback” to “on” in the online options to be able to participate in Operation RAPTOR.

*Some restrictions may still apply, Operation Raptor is not open in all regions. Due to restrictions on the PlayStation 3 platform, we are unable to offer Operation Raptor to our PlayStation 3 users. We apologize for this inconvenience and we will continue to work with Sony to extend our weekend Operations to the community. Thank you.

My comprehension was fine. This belated pack nonsense was only mentioned in BSN. Not in game either..

I think this bit is causing the confusion.

This is it. I have created few characters to confirm there is no glitch and that they are all on level one with no skills. I have created more than one character in 3 classes, but none in fourth promoted class. Now, i am on 164.
I rulled that possibility out because, in character selection, it says the are all on level one. I didn't know that only "created" charaters count in n7 levels.

Well this weekend you are at least getting half a pack :0

I agree in general that adding 10 to my N7 ranking and a paltry war asset isn't enough. Give me cash or a pack for promotion - especially when the "penalty" is to drop me back to lvl 1.

Yeah that's all I meant. It's cool getting a reward for the operations but I don't see much motivation personally to promote otherwise. I don't really care about a number next to my name, and I think a lot of other people feel the same way.

Maybe some credits would be a good standard reward for promoting. After all, you get promoted, you get a pay rise:wizard:

That's actually the moment you realize that this event is pointless. At least Goliath had its usefulness, people were afraid of Reapers and rather played against Cerberus and Geth, I am pretty sure that a whole weekend shooting Reapers has made people more confident.

Here the outcome will be different, no one will bother with promotions once the event is over. Because there is no point and no special gain.

The idea was to make us promote because not many people saw point in it. The problem is, even after this event, people will still see no point in promoting.
If i understand this correctly, the point of this events is to make us better players, so this one kinda failed. I can't complain since i will get super easy commendation pack.

Spending 500 milion credits would be a nice event Or, buying a 500.000 spectre packs. 5 spectre packs for personal reward, commendation pack.

Oh hey, look, My engineer also has the same problem!

As a note, i never created a new character for my engineer.. it shouldn't even be alive..

Actually, it's more of a TL;DR as most people will read the goal and then stop when the parts about not being available for PS3 are mentioned.

This is true. I play on random enemies more often now since the reapers don't bother me much. They're still a pain, but not as much as they were.

As for promoting, that's true too. I'd like classes to gain a permanent +1 skill point each time they're promoted. And before someone says it's too OP, in order to get an entire skill maxed out from just that, you'd need to promote a class 21 times and 126 promotions for all classes.

I've promoted 3 so far, working on 4.

It's not that I expect to get more than one commendation pack (I've heard people say that won't happen) it's just that I'm not sure how easy it will be for us to reach the group goal. I mean, are we all down for the promotions? I've been promoting every time I hit 20 so far just because I've been unhappy with some builds, but maybe some people would rather keep their 20's and won't be swayed by a single booster pack?
