I'd def work at sending a lot more if it was like that.
And how about double credit weekend or half price?

An open thank you to everyone promoting as many as possible, so that we get the Victory packs. As a new player, I will only be able to get the 2 required promotions since my weapons really suck and going Gold (and even Silver sometimes) is tough for new players.

By the way, I think BioWare should give promoters something in addition to the war assets in SP.  Some variation on a spectre pack or something for each promotion.  I mean this for all of the time, not just this weekend.

Maybe they could do something like extra credits weekend next weekend (group of Volus merchants donated large sum of money to support our troops blah blah blah). That should be possible even on PS3, right?
It would buy BioWare and Sony another week to fix things ... and all Earth-clans love extra credits.

So I would guess, it simply won't be available for ps3, as it is sunday already. Probably, as all future events. I feel i'm done with multiplayer, at least till the massive update with new features (if there will be any) as there is simply nothing to keep your interest playing.

only started mp this week and have promoted one trying to squeeze in as much as i can in between a full weekend of work and now have a level 19 sentinel hopefully a couple of games after work will sort that out,

and dream in games sometimes to the best/worst i had was fallout 3 and bohemoths fun though

Once. You can promote a million characters, you'll get 1 Commendation pack.

Be sure to have Online feedback turned ON.

Well it's not gonna do anything towards the event if you promote on PS3 sooo...yeah.

Just to reiterate for those who don't know...

You will receive your Victory and Commendation Packs on Tuesday, April 3 2012 @  5PM  PST if you and the community fulfilled both requirements.

That said, there's no difference between promoting 2 characters or 12, though there was talk within the community about something to be done. Here's the general idea:

Potential Incentive Based Reward System
Pack Details: Commendation contains an N7 as well as what's listed.

Requirement - Pack Name - Reward (Repackaged):
2 /150k Community - Bronze - Veteran Pack(s)
4 / 300k - Silver - Premium Veteran Pack(s)
6 / 500k - Gold - Spectre Pack(s)
8 / 750k - Platinum - Premium Spectre Pack(s)*
10+ / 1mil+ - Black - Premium Spectre Pack(s) + Equipment Pack(s)

To explain, here are two examples of people's results using that system:

Person A promotes 6 characters, the community makes it to 1mil+ promotions...
Person A  receives a Gold Commendation Pack (N7 Weapon + Spectre), and a Black Victory Pack (Prem Spectre  +  Equipment)

Person B promotes 4 characters, community promotes 150k...
Person B receives a Silver Commendation Pack (N7 Weapon + Premium Veteran) and a Bronze Victory Pack (Veteran)

In other words, you get the contents of said pack for each requirement passed, but rewards don't stack upon themselves. Also, neither pack level has any bearing on the other, although it might be a better idea to link the higher victory rewards to personal achievements otherwise people are getting something rare for almost nothing. Then again, it's a reward, so who cares...

*Premium Spectre Pack would be similar to the Prem Veteran Pack, it would simply have atleast 2 rares instead of 1 and have higher chances for an ultra rare.
