I managed to promote my 2nd character at about 2am PST this morning.

What a relief. I nearly held off for too long.

considering what beachhead means, id imagine we are playing on a particular map, or earning readiness in a particular region.

Prizes on Wednesday I believe. With that said, I managed to level my second character to 20 and promote him just in time (Woot!).

I really like these weekend events :)

Operation RAPTOR SUCCESS!
From: Admiral Steven Hackett, Citadel Allied Command

Re: Operation RAPTOR

Confidentiality classification: XA-PRIME

Distribution: N7 Forces Only

Soldiers of the Milky Way,

I am pleased at the number of promotions achieved during Operation RAPTOR. The influx of veterans and leaders is already proving invaluable in our fight against the Reapers.

While our comrades spread across the galaxy to carry on the fight, you must reconstitute your forces and bring new fighters to the fore. The N7 cadre has never been an easy calling, but your guts and determination have made you the most feared fighting force the Alliance has ever known. Prepare yourself; there will be more challenges in our future. Good fortune favors the prepared mind… and arsenal.

--Admiral Hackett

Congratulations on another successful N7 Operation!

We had a record number of soldiers promoted last weekend: over 350,000, shattering our previous community goal of 150,000.

Victory Packs and Commendation Packs will arrive no later than Wednesday April, 4th.  Make sure to redeem them and begin training your new recruits.  Operation Beachhead is scheduled to deploy next weekend, April 6th- 8th and will require expert trained soldiers to complete.  Stay tuned for more information on Operation Beachhead later this week. :)

Safe to assume that we (ps3 players) won't be allowed to participate?

lol,,, late to the party as always edon

Nope, I was referring to Operation Beachhead, though I suppose I could have been more clear.

Please read the whole statement before jumping into conclusion: What about us Ps3 players? I am losing patient on both Sony and Bioware. I know it takes time to solve problems but it seems like it is taking both of them forever to come to an agreement. Either Bioware can convince Sony to share data with them or Bioware can just announce that Ps3 community cannot participate anymore of the MP events. I am sick of being left out in the dark and will gladly accept the fact that compromise cannot be made. Bioware should know better even before they release the game that Sony has a tight policy and they should be working on the problems already. Why would Bioware sets up MP events like this and one platform is being left out? It is one thing that Sony has a tight policy and it is a problem for every game company, but shouldn't Bioware made themselves prepared first as well? Right now all I got is a vague statement that Bioware is still working with Sony and there are no solid promises. If there's even improvement and an agreement of the issues, Bioware should already tell us that it will take time to fix but Ps3 players will definitely be able to participate in the future. If Bioware knew these issues existed during development of MP events (which Bioware should be on top of every platform's online policy), Bioware should have known before game launched that either the issues could be fixed or not. I do not believe that Bioware just randomly came up with Mp events after the game launched and randomly found out that Sony refused to share data with them. I am just disappointed with how Bioware is handling problems. I am not trying to blame Bioware for Sony's issues but clearly Bioware didn't do their best jobs.

I have one question: Will it be possible to get the same weapon as last time, so you get a N7 weapon at lvl 2 or does it choose between the other remaining weapons?

Well then you should stop QQing as some of you above stated they would settle for no events in MP. Make peace with yourself that there will be no events and if they happen to be in few weeks or months consider religion again. On the other hand, this topic is very much not the place where you should post how bad you feel about PS3 and Bioware fiasko. Because here we don't care.

@topic, did anyone receive those packs yet? or is it until 4th will the whole community be awarded ?

As a father and husband I don't have much time to play so I did when everyone went to bed and then played till deep in the night for 2 days, sort like from 11pm to 3-4 am and at 7 am the babyboy waking up.

And I did it, I'm a bit tired now but it was worth the effort and was so much fun to do !

Good job people !

I promoted them all as part of a new challenge I guess

I think I'll only promote for events or maybe what I like to call weekend renewal maybe I should do that... I unno though I like having lvl 20s so yay 1 Compack and 1 Vicpack sadly they removed jumbo goodies pack.... I wounder if they just keep doign that every weekend cause I just want a perma pack like that to refill my essentials supplies and more ammo stock up on wouldn't hurt (I keep a stockpile of all the equipment and if I use it I must always leave 1 remaining)

I don’t quite get it. I promoted my vanguard class, because all 4 chars were at level 20. Do I get a com pack ? Or was I supposed to promote 2 *classes* instead (although the first post clearly says characters).

You needed to promote 2 classes, you'll still get the victory pack though.

You needed 2 promotions and you did it only once :(
It is a bit confusing since you are promoting 4 people in one class, but if you apply just little logic, you will see what
you
should have done.

"No later than wednesday" could in theory mean sometime today. Here's to hoping. I want stuff.

Regarding time release...

I suspect that "no later than Wednesday" is meant to infer 5PM PST like last time, as whether you get it at 5PM PST, or 8PM EST, it's still no later than Wednesday. That said, I'm not sure what time that translates to in GMT/etc but I assume it fits the title of "no later than wednesday".

As far as "Beachhead" goes, it sounds as if you'll need either levels 20s or promoted characters to participate in this event. The former would seem redundant with last weekend, the latter seems appropriate considering the sequence of the last two events (Train w/ Exp Bonus, Promote, Somehow use Promoted Characters for ???)

EDIT: As far as ugprades for owned weapons, there is no evidence that says that your next n7 reward cannot be for the gun you already have. It seems appropriate that they be upgradable, as there are only 4 of them in the collector's edition content (Argus/Raider don't count) so they'd only have 4 weekends until they ran out of content for said rewards if they were capped at MK1. With leveling, they have 40 weekends of content.
