did anyone get anything decent out of the victory pack? i got screwed again and i promoted 4 characters. all it gave me was some shoddy equipment.

I think the victory pack gives only equipment. There will be a commendation pack tomorrow that will give the n7 weaponry i believe

Victory pack was basically a jumbo equipment pack except a little smaller lol

Commendation Packs should be out tomorrow and I  believe that you can receive the same N7 weapon that you've already gotten.

That said, I think the community is more psyched that we've finally been given the option to purchase Premium Spectre Packs, bought ~8 so far myself, great way to level your rare guns if you have the time/skill/strategy to run gold. The number of FB  White games vs Geth is insane atm.

In fact unlike most of the players i am OK with the Victory pack!
3 of the 5 items are quite useful - 5 medigels, 5 restore kits and 5 missiles, that's pretty good for Silver and Gold. As for the Commendation pack, i still don't have it but i hope for one Viliant till the end of the day ))
Just have to be more patient, after all we are playing for fun!!!

 I got an N7 Hurricane, the weapon I use the least - which I completely expected. This is the way ALL multiplayer games work folks. It's done to keep you playing. If you got everything you wanted, you'd level up, get bored and stop playing. But you still want that "next" weapon, so you keep playing. I'm going to use the Hurricane, so I start getting the Assault rifles I truly want. This has worked for me in other multiplayer games of this kind, and I see EA/Bioware is sticking to the formula.

N7 Hurricane...

Well, recoil rate makes this weapon very hard to control, not my type to be honest so I'm a bit disappointed but hopeful about next commendation packs.

I did not receive my commendation pack as well.. though i did everything right, promoted 2 chars, before that i checked upload feedback to be on, still nothing so far. But i think we will get it during this day, it's only a matter of time

Btw it might be a stupid question, but does timezones have anything to do, when commendation packs are going to be distributed to players? I live in GMT+2, so it's 13:41 here right now
