This is exactly it. I don't want to be compensated, I don't feel I'm owed anything, I just want to have fun with the rest of the community. Whatever's going on between Sony and BioWare, I hope they fix it before too long.

No, you're probably dead on, and it's a good point to remember.  It's just galling that those in charge of informing masses of these events can't somehow manage to wrangle a single response from the bug squashers in nearly three weeks.  You'd think letting those affected know what their status is would be of some small importance at least.

Sounds easy enough. I imagine most players have 2 level 20's ready to go. It does tickle me that the "promoted" characters typically are the ones specced suboptimally; not sure if you want that black widow totting Turian specced for full stability training new recruits!

Would love to see more rewards for promotions in the future, not tied to specific events!

Indeed, this is where the PS3 owners should be focusing their energy. On the future and on getting this solved. I hope Bioware fix this problem for you guys, because I really hate the idea of anyone missing out.

It's very underwhelming event. Don't care about promotion and N7 level. So I just throw some useless classes - soldier and sentinel.

i feel guilty that i didn't start multiplayer until after operation goliath yet i still got a pack for completing the operation so i'm gonna promote every class this weekend to make up for it. next week playing bronze only will suck though, having to re-build all my classes

I usually play on bronze regardless of what level I am, but than again I usually play solo. Sometimes we are two that play and than we play silver, but otherwise i'm usually totting around on bronze. You'd think I would get all my friends and play four player gold, but apparently I don't have many friends :| Or is it maybe that I don't have many friends that either have the time or the will to play ME3 MP?

Either way I don't mind two manning silver, getting less rewards then others don't bother me as long as I'm able to contribute to these events with the two of us. And I'm just not for joining random groups. I'm selective, sorry =(

As far as playing gold with the two of us, we only got to wave 7 which was the furthest we got and which point we almost made wave 7, but went out of med-packs =/ Then again, we aren't pro-gamers or by any means good gamers, we are casual players and just mess around when work, girlfriend, real-life allows us.

I do however have a few chars to promote for this event (altough I already promoted one before this event - d'oh) so I will do my part.

I am sorry but I just don't understand. Why would I want to promote characters back to level 1 just to grind back to 20? I am one of those people who does not care how people spend their free time but thats gotta go both ways. I have a job and real world things I have to do. I don't have time to grind all my characters from level 1 to 20. All this does is create an even bigger divide between those who promote and those who do not. I don't feel its fair to rate N7 on how many times you promote. Its tries to force you to do something I really don't have the time for. I got nothing for the first weekend because I am on PS3 had no problem with that. Last week was OK but this is just manipulation. Creating a reason people need to grind all their characters back to 20.


I have spent alot of money on MP because of my lack of time. Almost as much of the game. That will not continue unless some real changes are made. Grinding back to level 20 is not something I consider to be a bonus. If it did not pad their N7 many more people would be with me I feel. Now my N7 thats over 100 will actually hinder me when I try to play Gold because everyone else will have theirs so much higher. I would like to see a weekend promotion that actually rewards me for spending so much time and money on this game. Instead of one that wants me to wash all my hard work down the drain for what? One random pack where I will probably get my Tempest to X?

The reason for doing this is to Reset the playing field. so you keep playing the rather repetitive multiplayer. I really wouldn't be surprised if at some point they raise the level cap and make a platinum. (Hopefully for free and not through a DLC)

Also what I think would be absolutely awesome would be to have something like Instances like WOW but different ones for different weekends with different bonuses (Like this weekend all lvl 20 should have to complete a Gold Game to be able to be promoted since they are "promoting" them to become trainers -- Get it?) . Increase the difficulty by 10 times but allow 10 players and when completed you get a BAMF Weapon\\add-on (Or better yet ARMOR).

That and Deathmatch \\ CTF need to be added.

As a PS3 owner (ME3 for PC though) I feel bad for you as they should be doing SOMETHING for you, 10%+ credits or 20%+ exp again for the weekend don't just completely blow you off just because they cant do exactly what everyone else is doing. That much is bulls*it.

My point being? It's a pain in the ass to promote a character, and have to rename them and redesign their appearance.

I advise anyone who wants to keep the same look/name for their characters, WRITE THEM DOWN SOMEWHERE! Consider yourselves warned - promoting them wipes them back to defaults.


Oh, well - at least it's a really simple way to get another N7 weapon (or upgrade the Valiant - it's a win/win either way). Just wish there was a patch that meant we didn't lose our character details upon promotion as default - for those of us with lots of characters per class, it's a massive headache to keep track of all the variables...

For all of you PS3 owners who think Bioware owes you, they don't. You can't [participate in these super fun weekend events because SONY has made it difficult for Bioware to bring the events to you. This is because SONY actually hates all of you and want to make sure you never have any fun. Bioware tried to talk them out of it, but SONY told them to "sit on it." Maybe next time you buy a console, you will buy one from a company that doesn't hate you and is a little better at protecting your personal information. If this makes you mad, you should email SONY and complain, but since SONY feeds on your misery, you are just sending them lunch.

I would be happy with a significant credit bonus for the weekend if they can't track our promotions on ps3. That way I could buy some spectre packs. Or they could add some kind of one time purchase n7 pack + the credit bonus so we have to save up for it but people that didn't play during the event wouldn't have enough credits(in theory). They have added packs several times already so it's definetly possible. The pack could even expire in 24 hours or something.

Meh, I got all six classes ready to promote last weekend (and leant how to play them, too), and I will promote all of them to help the allied goal. Would be nice if the packs stacked, but one can dream. I needed to change their skill setup anyway.

Promotion is still as meaningless as ever though, so I hope there'll be more incentive to do so in the future, Bioware.

LOL damn... and I just promoted everything but my Sentinel class... oh well... I should be able to get the others back up to 20th in time.
