Whas'sup everyone!  I've been an ME fan since the beginning of the series and love it for the same reasons as many of you, as well as some reasons many do not.  What I am curious about is the multiplayer component philosophy exhibited by many players.

Why is it that so many hosts kick out people with lower rankings (such as myself) , even though we've paid for the game as well as all (or many) of the other components that go along with it (like the comics, the books, the DLC, etc)?  I do not play multi EVERY day, because I have a family and a career.  However, I am no slouch when it comes to multi as I've done a LOT of co-op and multi on other games, so I know how to work the field.  This lack of gametime results in lower ranking/rating, but doesn't diminish our love for ME or our desire to have a great time with other ME players.

My problem is that, whenever I (and others with lower) get into these online sessions, I am often kicked from the game as soon as they see my ranking.  How are we to get higher rankings when we wanna play but keep getting booted out because of folks being so selfish?  Then we're relegated to being hosts ourselves but having to wait 20-30 minutes (or more) for other players to fill in the 4-man fire team.

I just think it's very selfish and childish to only look at players that are level 70 and above to play and tank everyone else that's a 20 or 30 or an 18 for example.  Does this Operation Raptor Weekend play help to resolve this jacked up mindset?Image IPB

PS3 is a **** console anyways. I'm glad you nerds can't partake in anything.

As a proud Xbox 360 owner, I must say that this guy is a complete loser.

Aside from everything else, the big kick in the ass in regards to the PS3 not getting Goliath and now possibly/likely not getting Raptor, is that we have zero control over what gear/classes we unlock in the store. By participating in these events Xbox/PC users at least know they will be getting something good. It may not be the N7 they want, but if they do the work, participate, they will get the chance to improve their weapon selection by cutting a huge chunk out of the RNG.

On the ps3 all we can do is buy more packs. I for one haven't seen an N7 anything yet, nor do others I know. I have 2 level 20's I could promote first thing on Friday, but why bother? I would actually hurt my chances of getting N7 gear because I would have to re-level them so I could go back to the higher difficulty and get more credits. Its not just the reward, its the lack of ability to actively do something for my account wide arsenal. Events like this spice things up, get everyone in the mood, to be left out, just sucks.

The reason you have seen any N7 weapons is that they aren't in any other packs. Currently, the only way to get N7 weapons is from these weekend events....which we ps3 users don't get...ergo we don't get N7 weapons....

For all of you PS3 owners who think Bioware owes you, they don't. You can't [participate in these super fun weekend events because SONY has made it difficult for Bioware to bring the events to you. This is because SONY actually hates all of you and want to make sure you never have any fun. Bioware tried to talk them out of it, but SONY told them to "sit on it." Maybe next time you buy a console, you will buy one from a company that doesn't hate you and is a little better at protecting your personal information. If this makes you mad, you should email SONY and complain, but since SONY feeds on your misery, you are just sending them lunch.

Have an awesome weekend playing story mode.

You are a sad, pathetic little person.

So what's that with Operation Raptor not being open in all regions (from first post)? Who's got unlucky?

LOL damn... and I just promoted everything but my Sentinel class... oh well... I should be able to get the others back up to 20th in time. :)
Thank you Bioware for another guided, goal! I, for one, really appreciate the efforts you are doing to keep the MP running strong!

I have to disagree. I feel they are making goals that simply make players have to grind more. What is fun about promoting a class? If they really want to improve and keep MP alive. (not just make more money) They need more maps, more enemies, more weapons, and improve the item packs.  If they want to keep this alive they need to keep the thrill of earning and buying Item Packs alive. Thats what makes it addicting, teamwork plus constant improvement is why I play.

Constant improvement is not a forced grind from 1 to 20 and back again. Its actually one of the most mind numbing design choices I have ever seen. Again, you want to keep me and others like me playing?  This is not the way. Whats the point of working hard to ge to level 20 only to do it all over again?

Bioware so should we Ps3 owners contact dice because I know for a ****ing fact battlefield 3 has stat tracking on ps3!
Your from the same publisher just freaking do it already! I want my BF3 soldier class! I paid for BF3 and ME3 you better at least give us something!

Stop lying and give us this event!

And get some freaking dedicated servers like battlefield! Stop running off sonys bull**** servers!

Lol and look at dust 514 pc and Ps3 compatible! You play with PC players! The game also has constant updates with no approval from sony!

So ya bioware its you it's not sony! Otherwise they wouldn't offer a digital copy on their store!

Those aren't the n7 weapons I am talking about. I was talking about the N7 weapons that you get for singleplayer if you own the collector's edition. They are only available in multiplayer through these events. (e.g. the N7 eagle, crusader, valiant, and hurricane)

Honestly I don't really care the game started off on PC and Xbox. BUT it pisses me off when I see everyone saying its a problem with Sony. You know thats not true, and are just saying it because you play on XBOX and actually enjoy the fact Sony players are missing out, but we are all gamers and if you support this now the shoes maybe reversed someday.

Do you have ME3 on the 360, PC or PS3? If your on the 360 you can join me and my friend if you want, we solo it mostly so you won't have any pressure on you and you get the time you need to learn, no sweat. Did this with another low ranked guy who we basically just supported, kept alive and let him do most of the killing.

Argh, I'm sure I'll just get a crappy Crusader again and then die from an aneurysm because of it.

Since there's no benefit for promoting more than two, probably not going to promote all 6 even though I level-capped them all in anticipation of this event. Gotta see which classes are most in need of a respec, I guess.

We didn't get 3 commendation packs for killing 3 million brutes instead of the required 1 million. We won't get 3 packs for promoting 6 instead of 2 either. Of course I'm not Bioware and therefore this is only an "educated" guess. But honestly it's very, very unlikely we'd ever get more than one pack per weekend, otherwise we'd get "too many" N7 weapons, seeing as how they apparently don't want us to get the "good stuff" quickly.

I like the cut of Scimitar's giblets. Seems like a fair and equitable stop-gap solution to me.

I feel bad for the folks who didn't know this event was going to be about promoting. It was spelled out in the Operation: Fortress thread, but it was on like page 6 or something, and I can fully understand why somebody wouldn't read beyond the first post (I read it early, when it was still a manageable length. Bioware, I know there's a lot of **** hitting the fan and stuff you have to do, but would it be possible to implement a policy where all pertinent info given by a Bioware employee later in an Op thread is edited into the original post?

Now... Raptor. This'll be a cakewalk for me. I don't promote all the time, so all my characters are at level 20, otoh I enjoy promoting to try out new specs (not really gotten hit with respec cards). I have the time and inclination to reasonably get my favorite 2 characters back up to twenty pretty quick, my roommate will get his up faster since he pretty much only plays drell adept, and other than those we'll be putting those character cards to good use for a change.

I do wish there was a more tangible benefit to promoting. Compared to galactic readiness, it's a joke, and absolutely no one gives a **** about N7 rating beyond the first 120 (I'd say lower, but I'd probably be lying then. I'm probably lying now, but those people are certainly being If I were inundated with respec packs, I'd never promote.

Just unlocking cosmetic armor pieces at certain N7 levels would be enough for me. I'm easy to please; besides, that's already a ****ton of work for them.

yes you can put 2 and 2 together but unless its said they won't stack there is no reason to not ask about it. and there is certainly no reason to insult the people asking.

Well, I didn't really have plans to promote but a commendation pack is worth doing it twice - there are only four N7 weapons, so there's a 25% chance I'll get an upgrade on my Valiant. Getting that would be sweet.

Oh this will be easy if at least 25000 people promote all their classes once, i might even do it twice with some just for the community goal (even for those noobs i wouldnt dare to p**s on if theyd be on fire, so nie i am ;))

I hope the rewards are a bit more generous than last time. How about an weapon mod pack that contains 10 or more USEFUL mods. Maybe a weapon pack that contains a variety of rare weapons.

Thanks
