I can get on Black Ops on PS3 right now, even with it being over a year and a half old and even with all of its BS and bland graphics, and it will tell me little facts at the bottom like how many people threw grenades or got a headshot or got knifed in the back just today or even all-time. It even has events from time to time although not often, however they do work. So you are telling me that an obsolete Call of Duty game has somehow magically circumvented these "Sony restrictions" but Mass Effect 3 got stonewalled? Really? This is the scenario you want to believe?

Update: Due to restrictions on the PlayStation 3 platform, we are unable to offer Operation Raptor to our PlayStation 3 users. We apologize for this inconvenience and we will continue to work with Sony to extend our weekend Operations to the community.

So why aren't we PS3 users bombarding Sony to ask why the hell we can't participate?

I am! I only found this http://us.playstatio...m/support/ask/ link but I'll be telling any Sony person I can that this is not good enough!

I concluded with that same answer last night. The reply I got from support was, in short, "Unfortunately, we have not received any details in regards to the Mass
Effect 3 Multiplayer events, and I can only recommend contacting the
software publisher for more information." In which case, they referred me to EA.com.

While I'm also persuing the means of contacting them, I get the despairing feeling that it'll result in an unfortunate runaround that many other people have seem to experienced.

Regardless, I will continue to contact who I can, and believe if everyone attempted to open up whatever lines of communication possible, it may help that much more.

yeah thatas a cannd response if i ever heard of one there trying to shift the blame over to EA/bioware

How can Bioware be working with Sony to fix this if Sony hasn't even been made aware of a problem...

There have been many rumors floating around as to what the problem exactly is, something compounded by the fact that nobody seems to give a straight answer. It's even gone so far as to imply that there are legal ramifications preventing authorities from telling the community the truth.

Obviously, none of it has helped any, if anything it's just added to the pointless blaming. All of this shouldn't stop us from seeking answers, though.

The way I see it, even if Sony IS doing whatever to keep this from happening, Bioware has had these events planned for quite some time. Why didn't they figure all this garbage out before the game was released?

I didn't pay $80 ****ing dollars to be shortchanged at every turn. FIGURE THIS OUT.

I got this game for free from a friend for PS3, best free game ever. I love ME3 no matter what, sure we do get shortchanged but thats life for you. EA and Bioware, I still want my BF3 soldier for PS3<3

cqcider yes but do you get anything permanent other than skins/maps and double xp and rare weapons these weapons do not drop normally in the game packs{ other then the paladin and blackwidow, etc} and are not temporary to say the least like it disappears after day 4  or weeks?

i contacted them and found out that they wont share the data, thats permanent of the data in regards to weaponized specials that wont drop in any other specter packs that requires all players that have said ultra rare guns that are normally in sp to be made in mp they need to keep constant contact with the server and be able to control there packets to who gets what like when we called  them on support and since bioware and  ea is considered third party they wont allow them permanent access to the  data packets that  they require to share during the event..
this is what sony wont allow...

so in closing its not a bioware problem its  solely a Sony Entertainment issue due to the way they require data sharing on their serverif they only had listened to  anon none this would have happened to them but again they was being   cheap theyw as using the same server software service without upgrading it over the 10 years that ps 1  thru 3 came out and only haveing finally gotten hit by anon  they  was forced to upgrade it

So if what you say is true then they could easily fix the issue by issuing a PS3 hard patch which would install all of the event rewards onto the PS3 to be accessed and unlocked when requirements have been met. Sony charges fees for hard patches to attempt to ensure better release day quality and therefore Bioware/EA are not willing to pay the fee to fix the issue and resolve this with their PS3 fans. Well, at least now I know how much I am worth to them. Thanks for clearing that up.

no a hard patch wouldn't work per say it more along the lines that bioware is trying to control their data pack that they get from you they have to go thru every  email account associated with that game that too is part that aspect of what you did and keep it so they can have account for what they did and make sure that you regional area is allowed.

sony wont allow perament  sharing of data packs due to  they think they  a hacker can  get hold of the security passwords  that the packets must have to access their servers i.e gateways, ether net gateways< this is the main culprit

Then they could simply work with what they already have at their disposal and allow us to complete events to unlock a certain number of spectre packs or the weekly special packs, which we receive now btw. That would honestly be a better reward anyway since if what you say is true then these extra guns exist solely as data packets anyway and would be very susceptible to server issues.

Awesome, I love the lack of love that PS3 owners are getting. The least that can be done is to compensate us. Give us an increase in XP or credits. SOMETHING!

I firmly believe Bioware simply does not like PS3 or us users. They've done nothing to show me otherwise. Am I supposed to be "grateful" that I even have the game? Is that supposed to be enough?

I've got some rather un-kind words for you if that's the case, Bioware.

I'm betting no-one at Bioware will tell us what the 'restrictions' are because of a non-disclosure agreement with Sony because Sony doesn't want anyone to know how its network operates. It doesn't want any potential loopholes exposed.

Stay on it Bioware! Prove to us that you care by either doing a workaround or an alternative event. If you can do bonus XP you should be able to do bonus credits, bonus unlocks on successful missions etc. As long as it is all server-side, Sony's 'restrictions' will not be an issue!

Yeah I think it's EA's blame again too.

First it was EA messing up bioware with the pushy deadlines.

Now because bioware has to hold itself to EA's crappy rules, they can't get to a agreement with sony.

Just like how DICE wasn't allowed to get sell battlefield 3 on steam because of EA's policy's, so it ended up being available only on Origin.

Also, to most of you PS3 user, you guys are seriously retarded if Bioware hates you, bioware has always loved their community just as much as they love your support, just because there are problems with the platform's policies and regulations doesn't mean that don't care about you, BioWare will push their request to get these events going for you guys, but you do you really think Sony is gonna make this top proirity, a issue about a event, to get a virtual item, just for 1 game?
Sony couldn't give a **** unless they get something out of it.

As Bioware said they are working on it, these things take times, they don't get resolved in a few hours, be happy if you can participate in the next month's events and stop whining about that fact that you can't get 1 little virtual item..

It's 1 freaking item in a whole multiplayer mode in a game that has it's main focus on the single-player, however you guys apperently can't comprehend that sicne you are acting as if they didn't give you a game after you gave them money.

I'm sure you have better things to do then whine. <_<

EA need to get their act together - why is it everything they do with Mp ends up having a ton of problems?

I think back to Red Alert 3, and the co-op campaign missions suddenly ending in defeat after 10 minutes exactly no matter who you were co-oping with, or where they were.

Still, I really hope Bioware give us PS3 users something by way of an appology - maybe a couple of free packs, or discounts on their up-comming dlc - hey i can dream...

But even so, I doubt I'll buy another Bioware product new anymore after this, we're just getting screwed over every time

The reason we're all annoyed as hell is because we were promised that these events would be on every platform, and so far, the only the PS3 has had is the 25% EXP boost, that came as a result of Operation Goliath on the PC and 360!

We're getting fed up of being promised things, and Bioware and EA not delivering.

Unfortunately you're a bit late to the party for that one.

If you didn't get it you were supposed to have contacted support. Even if you contacted support now though, there's nothing they can do as any issued packs expired on the 27th.
