i Swear Ps3 gamers are like Little School girls on their periods but the True FAULT is Sony not bioware read what i had posted on Doom lich's thread on this forum i know what i am talking about Since allot of Companies left Sony in the dark Capcom being one of them thats why now a days you see their games on xb or pc even the creators of DBZ went to only "XB" because of what SONY was doing and DEMANDING it screws all of the games consumers over in the end because the games that wer intended for "PS" have to be either tossed out or rewritten to the next console which can in turn be loss revenue for the games publisher like bioware and ea in my opinion if SONY keeps this up they will Go bankrupt on their consoles to the point where no one will buy their games and merch if they don't stop being Stupid and blindRyuu814 wrote...

Simply put, crying at Sony won't make any difference when it's Bioware trying to handle a limited-time exclusivity contract without admitting to it, and without alienating 1/3 of their gaming community and consumers.
I didn't know that's how math works:lol:
yeah, well EA did the same with BF3 expansion by making sony having a week ahead of any other platforms, so its a bit limited-time exclusive too.
but yeah its obvious that EA isnt going out saying "sorry ps3 players but the reason is microsoft paid for it" imagine the rage as result lol
That's just a stupid conspiracy though. If the PS3 has technical limitations for implimenting something then in the end that's the PS3's fault and not that of EA/Bioware.
On the other hand it could be the way Bioware have codded the special weekend that makes said code imcomptiable with the PS3.
Operation Raptor SUCCESS!

I've already promoted 3 classes. I decided I would stop at 210 n7 rating. Do I still get the packs or will I have to promote again?
Edit: I promoted these before this operation was created.
I was thinking about getting 1337 Nt rating with 5 lev 20 characters and 1 lev 17 which i would never play [elite:D] but by buying packs u get exp for characters and it would eventually go to 1400...

Blame Sony ever since they got hacked they only care about there selfs. If Sony cared about there community they would let people do the operations. If you ring up Sony customer support they are not going to tell you it is them who won't let u play the operations they will blame it on someone else they have probably been told to by there boss to do that. SO STOP BLAMEING BIOWARE AND EA! just give bioware and ea time bie next mouth u could be able to play the operations.
I think its most likely a problem on sony's end a lot of great developers have had problems with the ps3, bethesda can't seem to make a game on ps3 without it being horribly buggy, valves orange box on ps3 was the worst thing valve has ever released and ME3 on ps3 at times is unplayable.

Yet another shortsighted mistake.
Not as pissed now because I don't have to play the game the entire weekend due to not getting my personal commendation box as soon as I completed the achivement.
I don't care if they said we would get our commendation boxes a month from now, the point is the system they currently have is stupid. Very stupid. Exceptionally stupid.
So not only do we not have a counter telling us how far along the event is, but we can't even root for the people still promoting after they go their initial two because we are completely in the dark as to how exactly far we are along.
Doesn't that completely belie the point of a community event? Isn't it the point to see how far along we are in accomplishing our goal as a community? I mean we won't even know if we were successful or not untill two days after the event was over, assuming they don't post something.
Also, again given the number of people who bought this game, you would only need 75000 people to participate fully, which is an incredibly small number considering.
What happens if we double their goal, and get 300,000 promotions? Or even get an additional 50,000 promotions? According to the current rules, increased participation from the community goes totally unrewarded.
If the community can kill 3 million brutes (or was it one million), a number which is far harder to get considering the rarity of the enemy in the first place (unless they increased the number of brutes per match,I don't know I wasn't around for this one), then it should have no problem promoting well in excess of what the projected goal is.
My point of contention is that events like this seem to be incredibly poorly thought out, both in how they reward you for your personal endeavors, and the community later on.
Something I have also found odd is how they do't include information about how many unique players are online at any given time, or have logged in during the past week. Or at least I haven't found anything. Why not include this information? Wouldn't it encourage people to play more often knowing that so many others play as well?
I mean according to Joystiq, and numerous other sites, 3.5 million were sold worldwide, with 890000 landing in North America. Being generous and removeing 1/3 of that number due to Sony/Bioware shenanigans, you still have many times the number of people needed to participate for the operation to succeed.
Yet they make no mention of what happens if we double, or tripple their goal. Why not? I imagine it would get people to participate more than the bare minimum. Take me for instance, unlike last weekend with the xp incentive, I have no intention or motivation to continue playing this weekend.
I already fulfilled the inndividual requirement, and seeing as there is no indication I will be rewarded for further work, why should I? Given the number of people who bought the game, my default assumption is that there will be more than enough people participating to garuntee its success.
I'm not even asking for more commendation packs after my initial two promotions. Maybe a credit incentive (like what people have been asking for forever) would be better. Like for every other 2-3 characters promoted you get an additional 100- 150k credits. Thats enough to get a Specter box and two veteran boxes. Or two spectre boxes, a vet box and two recuits. Or just a whole bunch of recruit boxes.
That doesn't seem to bad to me.

And to all the people who are contently tossing insults at PS3 players for their complaints, just think about how quickly you would be in their position if your 360 or PC version was rife with game breaking bugs and the PS3 players were the ones frolicking in multiplayer up to their armpits in commendation packs, and your section of the forum received next to no help or complete answers from mods.

O yes I forgot they gave mass effect away for free to ps3 owners they didn't actually sell the game and make money off of it they simply gave it away we should be thankful.
They put mass effect 2 and 3 on ps3 because they stood to make a profit and if they feel they can continue to profit from making games on the ps3 then they will continue to do it.
That being said, I'm fairly certain this problem is not biowares fault but a problem with PSN/PS3.

dude go to the first page and look at the first post and LEARN TO READ it says "Due to restrictions on the PlayStation 3 platform, we are unable to
offer Operation Raptor to our PlayStation 3 users. We apologize for this
inconvenience and we will continue to work with Sony to extend our
weekend Operations to the community."
at what point in that does it say the fault is with bioware and ea the only problem that there is with ea is to finsd a server that you have a good conection to and doesnt have history of beeing moded as that will affect the firmware in the operating system on it
i work with the things dont say im wrong
