Can't say I totally agree with that. But I do agree to some degree. 20 bucks for a dlc weapon? I mean come on. Chances are the bloody thing is either so nerfed or flat out sucks as it is that it would not be worth it. Sadly I have seen the DLC weapons and I have seen what happens to good weapons. They get nerfed when people used them expertly. Thus making things suck. So far I have only seen on positive upgrade to a DLC weapon. And that is the N7 Eagle. The kickback and muzzle climb was lessened, thank god. Anyway, 20 bucks it not worth one weapon, maybe if it was like a weapon pack, that might take a little looking into.

Figures contain more than weapon, contain new character classes as well.  Even then I'd wanna be a pretty big fan before i started collecting all of em

As others have said it will come later. Last time I didn't get the two packs at the same time either, and the opening says the maximum time you'll need to wait to get the pack.

then they need to do a real FPS something like Modern Warfare and maybe base it on the events after mass 3. Or go back and do it based off of events like the first contact war, the rachni wars and krogan rebelions. Let the players picks sides and play in a galactic conquest type mode where you fight over whole planets and sytems, reseach facilities and bases. Have the planets have like 2 to 3 key location (maps to fight on) a base or facility on an asteroid as a map. Make it grand scale with many many maps and key points that need to be taken to keep hold of that system. Not sure how many have even played Chrome Hounds on 360 when it was out? If your side eventualy wens, the map resets and you then and only then are allowed to repick your side. You can stay on the same side or try out a new side and play on in the new war.   I think in Chrome Hounds, we got up to like 175th war before they stopped supposting the game. Each war took anywhere from 2 weeks to a few months before the map was reset and everyone started a new war.

Eh I agree with you mostly until we hit the first person shooter area I don't know about all that but If you mean like how star wars battlefront 2 was but with mass effect then I'd probably agree since you could switch out of first or third person perspectives.

i promoted 7 characters during the event but havent recieved a commendation pack is there. 6 were lvl 20 before the event and during the event i leveled one up to 20 and promoted it. does it still count if it was lvl 20 before the event and if so who should i talk to about getting my commendation pack?

for the love of all that is sacred and holy in this world, freaking read a few posts back people! seriously, commendation packs have to be unlocked individually and it takes a while. it will come later.

lol i got equipment packs nothing spectacular at all in the victory pack who else did not get either a special weapom upgrade or a mod or character unlock/ upgrade? just medigel thermal clips etc.

Then here is the funny part- I got the Premium Spectre pack and of course one has to pay in order to get the really awesome stuff and i got the Saber assault rifle have to ask you all are a lot of the weapon unlocks in multriplayer ONLY available in multiplayer? who else here thinks it would be cool if weapon unlocks carry through to the single player from multiplayer? for instance, anyone got the sabre assault rifle in singleplayer campaign?

Well this is odd. I received a victory pack, redeem it, checked back in later, and received another one.

If your victory pack is far from awesome at least it always comforting to know spend our battle earned hard earmed credits for 99,000 on a premium spectre pack and lo and behold in that same pack i got the Sabre i also (thankfully) got the medigel permanent upgrade who else found 2 medigel simply not enough esp if attempting to complete bronze multiplayer on solo?

yeah, my victory pack was crap, too.

do you actually get better stuff if you pay for the packs with bioware points instead of credits?

I got the premium a few minutes ago and I got a bunch of s***. Seriously, it was not worth the credits I spent on it.

I would just acquire your victory pack since during after Operation: Goliath, the commendation packs showed up later on after they sent out the victory packs.  I think they just sent out only the victory packs because it's easy to send them out to everyone, while for the commendation packs it's like another step for sending them out, like a personal screening.

Not that I'm implying anything, but I'm with everyone else with I only got my victory pack for right now.  If not getting the commendation pack today, then at least before the end of tomorrow, which they said on their blog.

Victory Packs are awarded to all ME3 players regardless of whether or not they participated in the event. It is a way of congratulating the community for reaching the community goal.  Keeping that in mind, you won't get amazing items.  Frankly, you probably won't even get uncommon items.  It's some free common items (often supplies) for logging in to multiplayer and clicking "redeem."

If you participated and completed the individual objective, wait on your commendation pack to arrive which -will- have worthwhile loot.  The commendation packs are handed out after the victory packs because Bioware has to sort through the players and manually grant earned CP to players, as opposed to granting all players the VP. Btw, gratitude is often better received than entitlement.

The commendation are on a staggered release, their database has to filter through every user, check to see if they are eligible for a Commendation Pack, if they are add them to a list of users getting it, that list then fills up to a set point and then is flushed to their awarding system, which then sends out the packs to the people in the listing group, all while the datbase is building up the next set of users to flush to the system. This way both systems (filters and awards) are working at all times, and the awards system doesn't overload it's memory allotance. While this may not be how they are doing it is one way it can be done. As filtering through a DB of millions of users takes time, it may takes hours for you to recieve your pack. It was this way last time with a lot of users having to wait 30 min to 4 hours after receiving their victory pack to get their commendations. You were one of the lucky ones to either be late on the list and happen to get both at the same time, or very early on the list and get the commendation pack relatively early.

Most people had to wait to get the commendations,and proceeded to flood the forums with posts whinging about not receiving it, while me and few users did damage control.
