If you played Mass Effect, the human society worships the Maker as well. it only mentioned once, though, in Eden Prime by the trapped scientists. Not sure if they relate to each other, but the scientist said "Thank the Maker!" w/ a capitalized M. Just a thought here.
Dragon Age & Mass Effect: Same universe different time?

Actually, if you talk to Ashley she refers to god and asks what you believe.

I found that a bit interesting, to, but that scientist might just be referring to God in such a fashion.

Hm that is strange. I wonder if the connection/reference to dragon age was intentional.

And ZOMG you can wear Blood Dragon armor in DA:O and ME2!?!? Astounding coincidence eh watson?

Refering to a "God"-like being as "Maker" isn't exactly uncommon. On top of that, what would be the significance if they were?

i think they are realated somehow lol...both of them "Maker"

I figured "Thank the Maker!" was a reference to C-3PO's line in Star Wars.

You see, the reapers wiped out thedas and the DAO world long before the time of the dinosaurs.
Of course theres a relation!
But seriously i loved the reference, in my current playthrough in ME when i heard "thank the maker" i thought i was playing dragon age.

Mass Effect takes place in a galaxy.
The universe is infinite.
... Yeah, Dragon Age takes place in that universe.

"The moon used for this game looks exactly the same as the planet in Mass Effect that was said to be damaged by a massive and ancient mass-acceleration weapon. Only it has been made blue rather than orange. The first time you are able to see it is in the king's camp in Ostagar before the battle as well as when you're in your own camp."

Perhaps Magic is simply Biotic ability. Dwarves evolve into Volus. Elves evolve into Asari. Darkspawn become Thorian Creepers.

Yeah, I noticed they use the same moon also when I was trying to do a DA:O illustration this last year. As far as the ME 1 reference to the Maker goes, Bioware has used references to coming games before, like the noble in BG 1 on the road to Nashkel talking about the Nights in Neverwinter being more temperate than those of his current path.

People on earth refer to God as the maker too, so maybe WE are in the Dragon Age universe.

Maybe Shepard's descended from your PC?

Doubt it lol...
Magic doesn't just disappear...
The Magic in DA has nothing in relation to the biotic powers in Mass Effect

I prefer seeing both "universes" as maybe parallel dimensions, but not in the same universe. The supernatural powers of both universes stem from entirely different sources. In ME there is no fade. Surely otherwise the Asari would have found it by the time of discovering the citadel. The Darkspawn are unique to DA:O. And I wonder why dwarves and elves should be totally extinct by the time space-travel becomes feasible for Ferelden.
The easter-eggs are exactly what they are: Easter-Eggs. Jokes of the development team to entertain the player. Besides I liked the variations of the towers of Hanoi puzzle. It was more logic thinking involved there than in the famous DA:O puzzle, which is mostly trial-and-error based. Then again perhaps it tends to get boring if Bioware used only variations of some kind of standard riddle in all games...

That would be as cool as Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo happening in the same universe (if anyone knows what I'm talking about)

magic can easily disappear over thousands of years dwarfs became immune because of prolonged exposure to lirium
the ogre statue in kassumi broken memory might not only serve as a reference to dragon age
the reapers and darkspawn seem to have the same goal
lirium and element zero could be the same thing
they have a similar effect when you are exposed to large amounts of it
darkspawn blood has the power to either kill you or turn you into a darkspawn
reapers can turn you into husks and they can indoctrinate you
i'm not saying it's earth but it might be another planet even the first civilization that most likely made the reapers
the architect started a blight on accident it's a possibility that he might have started the reaper cycle on accident while trying to do something something dark side with an archdeamon
the same moon thing that is mentioned above is also a good observation
the god and maker reference is rubbish though
but the main thing i'd go for is the darkspawn might be reapers theory
SPOILER
the god child in the end of mass effect 3 might be morrigan’s god child and it might be an attempt to bridge the two games together (would explain why they went with that horrible ending)
it might also be the fade you enter when bioware takes a load on the mass effect franchise in the ending

Mass Effect 1 came out in 2007. Dragon Age Origins came out in 2009. Mass Effect 1 isn't referencing Dragon Age. That quote is referring to god.
