when i have 4 party members they sometimes dont attack why is that? and some times when you chance them too passive they chance weapons. when i face a eneamy

i am not sure why this happed

You need to check out your team tactics. It's that crosshair shaped icon on the top of the screen. There are preset tactics if you're new to that sort of thing but if you give someone ranged weapons and set them to melee tactics, you're going to have these issues. I hope that helps.

Although I have not use that setting myself, I am guessing that "Passive"  is a setting that is not likely to result in much combat.  Maybe try a different setting to see how that affects your play.

As the previous poster suggested, use the tactics menu to set how the characters will fight in combat.  Most of the time the presets will work fairly well, but it can be a lot of fun custom designing the tactics to get the team to fight together seamlessly.
