Jacob for me, he was always a bit boring, but I still liked him ine ME2. I just can't get over what a jerk he is if you romanced him in ME3.

Honestly it's a tie between Vega and Jacob. Vega for feeling too forced and Jacob for being just downright bland.

I also despised Vega trying to call my Shepard "Lola." Hell, I definitely wouldn't have minded if the guy went around calling her "mujer", instead.

...Well, I think I'm going to hang out in my little corner over here with my favorite squadmates. If anyone's looking for us, I'll be over here having a tea party with Kaidan, Ashley, Miranda, and Vega.

And that's why these threads always make me feel depressed, I get kinda sick of people bashing my favorites for no viable reasons.

Well I really like 3 out of those 4. Miranda doesn't really do much for me but i love the others. Especially Kaidan

Take a seat, there's plenty of tea and cookies to go around! :D

Jacob was the only squaddie in ME2 i didn't talk to after every mission,

I don't like Ashley, but I think I prefer her over Kaidan.

Jacob and later Ashley got on my nerves.

Jacob with his continuous talk about something that I'm not interested in: "yeah right, tell me more about your wife and baby while earth is getting wiped out!"

... and Ashley with her never-ending Cerberus issues that she just can't get over with.

As a crew mate? I'd have to say Cortez, no matter what I did Bioware would never let me be mean to him. Even though I choose renegade its like Shepard was hitting on him so eventually i stopped talking to him and he died at the end.

I find it highly ironic and deeply enjoyable that someone with the ident tag "Hooray4huggies" wanted so badly to be cruel to the sole gay dude who couldn't get over his dead husband. I can not stop chuckling.

I just find it odd that we have to treat gay's in a special manner when were all striving to survive int he game.  Doesn't seem equal to me.  I can be mean to any other character but cortez.  Everyone lost someone in the fight doesn't make any sense to treat cortez higher than the other cause of his homesexuality.

No, no! I totally agree with you in principle, I mean my Shep is always a knob do-gooder who wouldn't want to make anybody decent cry, but I do see your point. Cortez and Traynor were touchy subjects for Bioware though, and they knew they had to tread lightly while broaching the subject of fully gay, not-just-halfway there characters.

Honestly I just laughed at the previously mentioned thing.

lol thanks I see what ur saying haha.  I have watched both endings of him on earth and him crashing to the building makes more sense to me than him saying hes ok as the plane is on fire going down.  How in the world coudl he have survived that. No way he would, glad I saw him explode away, now my Shepard can focus better on romancing Ashley.

That's not possible Ashley was shot by me during the coup and Kaidan died with the Fat Man nuke.

see that dosent make sense to me.  How can you kill every squadmate but liara? I demand that option!

Allers. She had an annoying ass voice and terrible voice acting.

After her, Traynor. She had an enchanting voice and good acting, but wasn't that impactful. She was good at her job, in game, but not that memorable.

Kaidan Alenko. Thought the character was nap time-boring and thought he was utterly useless in combat.

I actually desperately needed him for my infiltrator play through in ME3 because of the lack of biotics or anyone else with a sentinel build. Too bad he was dead.

You don't need biotics.

But if you happen to want Biotic CC Liara's stasis is the best CC in the game, especially for Infiltrators such as yourself.

Sentinels bring nothing useful to the game that Liara doesn't trump with Stasis. And anything that can't be CCed with Stasis can be CCed with EDI's Decoy.

Disliked Squadmates:
Jacob - uninteresting
Jack - over the top stupid and crazy, not to mention she's a murdering **** (yes I know she's a product of Cerberus crap)
EDI - thought it was silly how they made her a squad mate (liked her as a character, but not as a squadmate)
Ashley - uninteresting (let her die in ME1 lol)
Kasumi - uninteresting and was annoyed with the whole "look @ me I'm Japanese!!!" thing (wasted my money)

Disliked Crew:
Cortez - holy crap what a big emotional cry baby. Earth is under siege, so man the F up Steve!

In ME1 I mostly ran with Liara and another random squadmate
In ME2 I mostly ran with Miranda and Zaeed, swapping them out every now and then
In Me3 I mostly ran with Liara and Javik, swapping them out every now and then (usually for Vega)

Liked Crew:
Joker - funny, especially his interactions with EDI
EDI - see above
Kelly Chambers - you know she'd be wild in the sack, but well adjusted outside the bedroom
Dr. Chakwas - too bad she couldn't be a LI, because I wanted to play doctor with her in every game

I usually forget that Jacob is even on the ship until I get to the Suicide mission. He's just kind of "there" for me. Zaeed is another character who just kind of sits there and does nothing, but at least he has interesting stories to tell.

Kaidan has about as much personality as a plank of wood... he kind of reminds me of myself in that regard. Quiet and reserved. So I feel somewhat of an attachment to him.

It seems the majority of the characters I don't like are the humans. I'm not very fond of Ash, Jack or Miranda either.

The only one I do like is Kasumi.

And Vega... because he likes dinosaurs.

Jacob. That's it. All the standard hates like Kaiden, Ashley and Vega I like a lot (Ashley more in 1 than 3 'cause I got tired of explaining that I was on the good guys' side so many times) but Jacob is just so boring, and kinda irritating. Seriously, why is every line a Femshep says to him a come on? I just wanted to say hi not help him get the priiiize.

Hard to say... I say Kaidan or Jacob. More Kaidan, never liked him. Guy gets nuked every time, I dunno why, might be a bug

As for ME3 cast only(since this is ME3 discussion), I'd say Vega but only because he is the new guy. Ashley is kinda annoying with her trust issues, but I can understand her and she does learn to trust you. I mean, I didn't have any problems after Mars.

Vega isn't bad character, he is just complety new guy to both cast and story, so he needs to be filled in to everything and he lacks history, which makes him slightly less deep character. Basicly he is your standard space marine grunt.

Vega - Just an all round shallow douchebag. There is literally nothing to his character whatsoever, no subtlety, no depth, he's just an a-typical soldier with an off-the-rack "Oh I made a bad decision once and now i'm all angsty about it" back story.

I couldn't pick him out of a crowd of one.

Agreed. He isn't very likeable and adds nothign to the game.

Vega, totally unnecessary to introduce a brand new character with the choice available.

In the end, he was like something out of an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie, 'I screwed up so now I feel disaffected. Oh you punched me, guess I'll stick around and become a spec ops guy after all."

Kaiden and Ashley where just poor character models, so I never really liked them, but didn't dislike them.

Jacob, meh, he was generic, but it was ME2, generic was ok, ME3 should be with pre-established characters.

Jacob, followed by Kaidan. Neither seemed particularly interesting, though Jacob was worse. At least Vega has a bit of personality and some good banter with Cortez.

Jacob.

Initially, it was Kaidan, but I actually like the relationship between him and Shep in 3 (war buddies, not romantic), and replaying 1 he isn't as awful as I remember.

I also would have said Jack, but I like what happened to her in 3.

Jacob was worthless in ME2, and useless in ME3. >:|
