All humans. They didn't even try to make them interesting :( Well except for Miranda, I liked her character developement.

Jacob, hands down least interestin/useful/etc in ME2, and his short cameo in ME3 made me realise how much I disliked him that I say he's the worst in ME3 too ;)
I didn't dislike any of the ME1 squad though, so...Jacob is worst in that game too!

Kaidan. Insubordinate. Whines. I almost shot him on the Citadel, but then I realized it would be much better to let him live, then let him know he's not welcome back on the Normandy. Joker saluted me for it. I felt good.

Ashley might have been worse, but she died. I didn't kill her. She failed to survive. If she can't even get the "Lone Survivor" bonus on the Virmire map, she's not up to my team's standards. It wasn't even on Gold difficulty. It was Silver.

Jacob, Grunt, and Cortez.

Lame stereotypical archtypes.  Very simplistic generic characters.

What they say while in your squad is lame too, other than Cortez never being in the squad,  <--- I've known many people that try to have the exact same persona as these 3.  Heck go ahead and throw Ashley in there.  I despise Zaheed, but at least the jerk is different.

When compared to Thane, being at the top, they are all pathetic.  They aren't real so blame the writers for not fleshing them out and not making them "unique" or make you care.

I would say Jacob, but that's overdone.

Grunt is my second choice. Not that I have anything against him exactly, but he's your standard kill/fight anything that moves Bioware cliche that's pretty much in every one of their games.

Miranda. Just can't stand her. At all. If it was an option, I would toss her out the airlock in ME2.

Vega, definetly.

I think all Bioware companions were quite well written, but Vega is the only one in the entire trilogy to not get a proper introduction, with exception for perhaps Kaidan. Kaidan however is one of the "old gang" if you save him on Virmire, so I can forgive that, despite him being a somewhat dry character. In the end, Kaidan sticks with me because he's A: A good guy and B: Pretty much the only original companion from the original Normandy with the original crew that still sticks around. Ach, if Jenkins hadnt thrown himself infront of those geth turrets.

Vega, in comparison, is litterly tossed in your face at the start of ME3 and that's it. You get fragments of his background if you talk to him a lot, but in the end, it becomes clear he was just put in the game so they could at least introduce something new in the way of companions. I didnt feel the least bit of attached to the character and I kept feeling "I'd rather have Wrex with me then this guy".

If we're talking crew mate and not companion however, Allers take the price. Her facial features are downright scary and I found the voice acting and story for her being on the ship just...annoying.

It should be noted though: I didnt think any of these characters to be flawed enough to actually make the game to any greater extent less enjoyable. And seeing the amount of characters there are in this game series, that's quite the achievement.

Ashley. I tried not to kill her on at least one ME1 playthrough, but as soon as we got up to the Normandy she ran her mouth, so I reloaded and nuked her.

Ran her mouth? You feel like elaborating?

Oh, the "she's racist" card I see. I disagree but of course other people would think so.

Wow, lots of hate for Jacob. I rather enjoyed his character, though never used him as a squadmate as I wish he had at least a damn assault rifle. Would've been awesome if he actually had the vanguard charge. Still, I liked the guy's character as I found him on my level with working with Cerberus as a means to get things done when the Alliance won't budge.

As for me, yeah least favorite character has to be Kaiden. He's just too much like Carth from KOTOR (same VA even), so I always left his whiny ass on Virmire.

Liara. I'd love to kill that blue bimbo. but sadly, Plot Armor protects her even from Reaper lasers, and I'm able to kill off every other ME squadmate...why not her?

Ugh.

I will shove Grunt's quad down you throat. That "Blue Bimbo" is amazing. Yes flat at times bbut she grows on you. No trying to come off mean (probably coming off more as an ass) just stating my viewpoint on your little situation.

i said Vega and Jacob earlier in this thread. i'd also like to add EDI, another dull and utterly useless character. EDI should have stayed how she was in ME2. A little blue orb and not a squad member

Least favorite crew members across all 3 games, in descending order:

1. Ashley - Racist, snippy, racist, defensive, racist, obnoxious to the extreme.

The only character I genuinely HATE is Ashley. She reminds me of way too many girls I've known and I never get along with them.

2. Miranda - Conceited, rude, not interesting.
3. Javik - Condescending, disappointing across the board.
4. Grunt - Nice enough but quite forgettable.
5. Traynor - Tries too hard just like Kelly did, but unlike Kelly, she doesn't make me laugh.

I actually really enjoy everyone else across all 3 games, even Miranda, but she can get under my skin at times.

6. Jacob - Nice enough but completely forgettable and boring to talk to.
7. Allers - I like Chobot, but she can't act, her face looks weird in game & she's unnecessary.
8. Vega - HATE his character design, but his personality grows on you.
9. Jack - I actually like her quite a bit, she's just my least favorite of all the ME2 crew.
10. Kaidan - I just feel like I should like him more than I do, but for some reason I don't. I'm up for romancing him someday, though.

I think Jacob is the most boring crew member out of everyone, but he's a really nice person so I don't dislike him that much. I just never talk to him unless I have to. I never use him, though...

In fact I only ever use Thane and Kasumi once I get them, unless game mechanics require me to change things up. I could write novels about how much I adore Thane, Kasumi, Mordin, Samara and Zaeed. I love them all. So. Much.

Jacob. There's just really not much to him, couldn't ever get invested into his character. He bored me, and the only missions he came with me for were his loyalty one and ones he was a default choice. It's just hard to have any emotional attachment to his character.

Not a fan of Ashley, reminds me of Cassidy from F:NV with less funny lines for some reason. But to say she's a bad character would be an out-right lie IMO, most criticism of her character always comes off as hyperbole to me anyway.

But yeah, Jacob wins worst crew member award in my opinion. Never got Zaeed/Kasumi so I can't judge them. Though apparently the former is kind of a jerk like Javik, so I'll probably like him,

Jacob - He was just all around the most MEH to me. Nothing to really contribute to anything
Kasumi - Saw her as completely pointless.
Tali - for her whining

and she's not really in my bottom characters... not even like bottom 10, BUT
honorable mention to
Liara - for the blatant favortism

Except he isn't nowhere near as whiny as Carth. Actually since I've just about gone through ME1 again and paid attention to his dialogue he might not be whiny at all.

Kaidan and Ashley. They were extremely boring in ME1 and are even worse in ME3 speaking how they have almost no dialogue on the Normandy.

Yikes. Calm down. If you enjoy her character and disagree, that's cool. I don't look down on you for that kind of opinion. To each her own. I don't think Kaidan is boring, plenrty of others do. I also happen to think Ashlety is a racist hothead, Miranda is awesome and Jack is a fantastic idea that was poorly executed in ME2 and brilliantly handled in ME3. Among many other opinions. The fact there are so many characters we love and hate with such staunch opinions just speaks to how well the writers did their jobs. Look at all the different responses on this thread.

I appreciate several aspects of Ashley's character, but seriously dislike that one thing enough to choose Kaidan every time. It's ok.

I don't agree about Kasumi (adore her) but Liara and Tali both get honorable mention from me, too. I loved Liara in ME1 but I haven't liked her nearly as much since ME2, and in ME3 the blatant favoritism started to get overwhelming.

Tali just sort of... I kind of like her and I kind of want her to shut up but she's also my buddy. I don't know, she's just not my favorite.
