Ashley. I tried not to kill her on at least one ME1 playthrough, but as soon as we got up to the Normandy she ran her mouth, so I reloaded and nuked her.

Ran her mouth? You feel like elaborating?

Said something obnoxiously racist/inflammatory.

Oh, the "she's racist" card I see. I disagree but of course other people would think so.

Yikes. Calm down. If you enjoy her character and disagree, that's cool. I don't look down on you for that kind of opinion. To each her own. I don't think Kaidan is boring, plenrty of others do. I also happen to think Ashlety is a racist hothead, Miranda is awesome and Jack is a fantastic idea that was poorly executed in ME2 and brilliantly handled in ME3. Among many other opinions. The fact there are so many characters we love and hate with such staunch opinions just speaks to how well the writers did their jobs. Look at all the different responses on this thread.

I appreciate several aspects of Ashley's character, but seriously dislike that one thing enough to choose Kaidan every time. It's ok.

Well that "one thing" is completely wrong. lol

I disagree. =) There are enough people who think I'm wrong that I swear I tried to give her second chances. Even thirds. I stick to my guns.

It's ok, people. I swear!  I won't secretly sneak into your save files and kill her out of spite. But I will mourn that you didn't give poor Kaidan a chance. lol.

Donnelly. He was the guy that when I tried to get a little alone time with Gabby, he wouldn't leave the room. Miranda was too stuck up, Jack was psychotic, Samara was married to her job, Tali can't give me a peck on the cheek without getting ebola, Kelly has too much of a thing for Vorcha, Liara has the personality of a depressed elcor and Morinth is about as hands off as it gets. Who does that leave? Gabby. And Donnelly won't give me a minute of alone time with her. Bastard.

That is some serious funny ****. Waaaaay to thought out but totally reasonable I think....

Well think about it, Gabby's the only female member of the crew that's always upbeat, has no lingering past issues and always has a nice thing to say to you when you see her.  She's focused, she's intelligent and she's fun to be around.   But not once does Donnelly let you talk to her without chiming in.  All the other female love interests pretty much want you to kill people and blow stuff up to prove your worth.  Gabby just wants you to spend a small amount of money on a ship upgrade and she's right as rain.  It could have been a romance for the ages if Donnelly hadn't blocked you at every turn.

Seems like you're the one who needs to calm down. Nowhere in my post should it be implied that I'm looking down on you because of your opinion.

Jacob, he was pretty useless in combat, didn't like or dislike the fella personally, just in combat.

ME1:  Toss-up between Liara & Tali.
ME2:  Doesn't really count but...Kasumi Goto.
ME3:  Ashley Williams.

In Me1 Ashley was probably my most favorite up there with Wrex. But after first playthrough, where all she did was moan about her sister's dead husband and act all emo...the straw that broke the camel's back was when I found her drunk on the floor right after Tali offed herself on Rannoch... now I just shoot her during the save the council mission.

Her relationship with femshep could be kind of interesting in ME1 but she is so broken for ME3 if she's not an LI. Truly boring.

ME1: Kaidan
ME2: Jacob
ME3: Vega

They all seem so... boring. And while Kaidan at least had some interesting background that made me hesitate for a fraction of a splitsecond before sending him to his death on Virmire, Jacob and Vega were just... Let's just say I would have made them watch the ending of ME3. Without hesitation. (Wow, I didn't even know I hated them THAT much until just now... I'm a horrible person.)

Here. Have a beer. You can toast to Ashley, I can toast to Kaidan. Let's celebrate our differences.

Jacob, he's kind of like James Vega except James surprisingly had more personality than him. I only did Jacob's loyalty mission to guarantee everyone surviving in the ME2 suicide mission.

It's a CAMEO. It's not meant to be a thought provoking or an award winning character. It's a freaking cameo.

Terrible acting, terrible looking

1. Jacob: just really annoyed the hell out of me, couldn't feel bad about his daddy issues, and as much as I tried to like him, he's the only one I disliked in ME2
2. Vega: never understood where I really apparantly knew this guy from, and didn't care. He seemed like a walking stereotype, but of one I wasn't aware of (the Vega stereotype I guess)
3. Ashley: Left her on Virmire because she annoyed me with her xenophobia (Tali and Liara ftw). Used a saved game editor to bring her back just to entertain the idea, and wished I had kicked her out the airlock. Worst dialog ever

I'll have to go with EDI. Nothing against the character, I just would have liked a past squadmate to return instead of having this new body of hers.

Jacob. I have no idea why he was even in ME3, there are side characters that are way, way more popular than he is that weren't in the game.

EG Shiala, Kal, Gianna, Biotic God, I would have gladly had Jacob relegated to an email, and had his entire mission scrapped if it meant we could see those guys again.

Jacob was first. He's an ****. Simple as that.

100% Renegade Shep. He killed Mordin and Wrex. Really ****ed up.

Carth Onasi. He doesn't get drunk and hung over like Ash. He's too stuck up. The voice annoys me.
