If its usefulness in direct terms of ME3, Allers is completely useless and should be vacated for a more productive member of the squad. She really didn't do too much but report stuff and get hit on by Traynor.

Next person I never used except for her homeland missions is Tali. The whole suit puncture thing just makes her too much of an easy target, she's best on ship or a tech support role.

I would agree with people concerning Jacob for ME2. Really useless biotic - a bit of a whiner at times and too much of a polarizing figure to be useful during points where you need unity.

Most useful? Javick, Liara, Garrus, EDI, Zheed, Legion, Ashley W ( I still think she's useful in combat its just... damn you woman. damn you for making me shoot you --- AND what you said on Horizon. Bah. Spit. Fume.)


Totally up to you man, some people focus on the game play, others the story.

Samara. She had an interesting background and position, but she was far too serious and, in the end, uninteresting. Though he use in Mass Effect 3 was somewhat interesting, I will admit.

I dont see how anyone can hate Liara. I just...cant comprehend that one. She's one of the most likable of all the crew. EDI has quickly become a favorite of mine as well, ****** and all. I dont think there's any defending Jacob or Vega though. They both come from the school of boring generics.

Ashley, with Allers and Jacob/Miranda distantly behind. I mean, I got where Ash was coming from with her aliens = bad stuff, but the whole religious conversation with her, plus her constantly second guessing Shep's decisions... Eff her. I saved her once, and only once, on Virmire. Kaidan isn't the most interesting character, but he didn't get on my nerves - until Horizon and then of course all throughout the third game, LMAO! Ah, well.

james vega cause i didnt feel a need to use him ever plus i felt like he was trying to be shepard when i first met him on the ship felt like how they did a renegade version of shepard with zaeed

Liara. She's very good as a plot device, but I find her bland as a character.

Sometimes I want to shake her and say "do something interesting! Controversial! Something offensive maybe! Disagree with me! Please! Why are you written to be so infallible?!?!"

I only visited her after each mission because Garrus and Ashley were on the same deck.

ME1 - Kaidan Alenko. I didn't connect with him like I did with the other 5 squad members. I also used him the least. I left him behind on Virmire, I thought Ashley was much more interesting.

ME2 - Jacob Taylor. Never liked him, barely used him except for when I needed to at the beginning and during his loyalty mission. If I wasn't a completionist, I would've killed him in the suicide mission. He was just boring, very very boring.

ME3 - James Vega. If I kept Kaidan alive in ME, it would've still been him. Honestly, I though James was just created so people would have a soldier character since (I think) others killed Ashley over Kaidan on Virmire, the same could be said about Javik being the squad member to replace Kaidan since he uses Tech and Biotic abilities except I like Javik.

Overall - Kaidan Alenko.

I think it's mostly because she had a "YOU CAN'T IGNORE ME I'M IMPORTANT" kind of vibe to her.

The hate for a cameo is hilarious. People are expecting Jennifer Hale performances form a freaking cameo. The facepalms I have given myself will eventually kill.
