I read somewhere about saving anderson and the ending requirement changes based on that, so my question is this:

How can you save him? I mean I had talked TIM into killing himself and Anderson still dies after telling me he is proud. Does that count as saving?

I remember TIM always make you shoot him when he controls you, or am I missing something here.

Yes it counts. "Saving Anderson from being shot by TIM" would be more accurate.
