What does master stealth mean exactly by "significant bonuses on all stealth checks."?
What exactly does the master stealth upgrade do exactly? What exactly does it mean by signifigant bonus on all checks? Uhhh what? What are the checks exactly?

It gives you significant bonuses to the use of your stealth ability. A check, in general RPG parlance, is when you attempt to use an ability. The result of the check determines the result of the attempt.
If you fail a stealth check, you can't hide. If you succeed, you can.

So in lamens terms you're just saying it makes me harder to detect?

Along with making it easier to go into stealth, say, in combat.

Basically you can combat stealth vs boss creatures with it.

Well laying traps seems to be an over rated and over complicated process
Considering I just now got trap making #1 at lvl 16 (Had to get coercion stealing and combat training 1st) I think that if I get stealth at all (Which points wise I will be forced to by lvl 25 unless I want to get other seemingly useless alternatives like feign death or something)
You know I just tried using my 1st ever claw trap , a ****ing genlock with a white name ran over it and ran straight through it instead of being stuck in it , and for what? Even if he did get stuck so? I could kill that noob in 1 second flat anyway
(sigh) I see no point in stealth tbh
Stealth item use is for traps , but if the traps don't even work , and then even if they did aren't even nessicary? I'm almost certain traps wouldn't work on any mob who stays alive for over 2 seconds (Orange names) anyway right?
Combat stealth? Ok so use up 3-4 points to attempt to save my ass? I could just use distraction instead..... or just get killed and have Wynne rez me in 1 second flat... not that I ever really get killed though
I just I mean wtf? This is my 2nd Rogue playthrough and I cannot understand why I should actually get stealth

Why not use combat stealth? It's one way to make target forget you and you can go backstabbin again distracting is bard talent right?
You can also disarm traps before combat starts or even during combat with combat stealth, why you want to get yourself killed and then revived over stealth is your own opinion, for you its extra 4 talent you use elsewhere but for me i find stealth rather useful.

Except that if there are traps I disable them during or after the battle or if possible before the battle , the traps the enemies lay aren't exactly brilliant
Combat stealth to get behind stuff? No thats what I have coup degrace for , I just stab everyone right in the face and it treats it like backstabs
Cooldown on Riposte & Dirty fighting is so short that I can just backstab enemies in the face 90% of the time and easily go behind them the other 10% of the time
Plus I have Wynne use the para glyph for even more coup de grace use , and I might get a spell for Morrigan to help make it even more lol

Stealth isn't needed for all builds - a lot of straight-up scrappers have better places to put points. Traps, though, have their uses, if you use the right ones.
Triggers can be an issue, but you can get around this if you just put it somewhere it's guaranteed to see traffic.

I find stealth very useful for scouting out enemy positions before a battle to maximize Morrigan's effectiveness with her aoe attacks. "Triggering" the enemy in stealth allows Morrigan to cast Blizzard and Tempest before the foes even know we are there. Actually, it doesn't leave much for the rest of the team to do...

Which is boring of course
I think when I get more skill points I will invest them into poison making instead , the trap thing is if you want to go and over strategize for simple fights that don't even need strategy XD

you score an automatic critical hit on the first attack coming out of stealth.
you also get a complete aggro reset when entering stealth.
if you see no need for either of those things than you can definitely spend your points elsewhere.

Yes I see absolutley no need for that , I'd say 90% or more of all hits I ever do are considered backstabs
Aggro reset , well whatever I have -aggro boots and distraction and 2 healers in my party I'm good on that
Edit : Just got loading screen and it says my rogue only has 2 injuries ever , and I specifically remember one of those being from a blood mage using fireball out of nowhere and catching the whole party with it , aggro wouldn't have even helped in that instance

Stealth could have helped you get behind that blood mage before he could cast a fireball, though.

Stealth, like many things, including any mage spell or equipment, is completely unnecessary to beat the game. You could run around naked with a group of 4 warriors and still beat the game. Like many thing, you don't need stealth. If you don't care to use stealth for tactical reasons, then don't bother. If you don't see any real benefit to what it brings, don't bother. The same can be said of pretty much every skill in the game.
