You're doing it wrong. It's one of the better shotguns.

well to me it's like the disciple. it should be a silver rarity. Claymore is by far out classed by gruul, and GPS

I have a level 6 Claymore with my human infiltrator and it's beastly on gold. It takes out 3 armor bars or maybe more from a geth prime

Sometimes I hit a enemy up close and it only takes a few bars of life/shield and other times 1 bar

I have a level VIII and it works wonders on GOLD... you gotta get close though. Also, I use the 50% choke, which helps with longer shots.  I can take a gold atlas down from full shields in about 10 shots (assuming all the buckshot hits)

I haven't had the chance to use it in the final game, but in the demo the claymore was the only weapon that could one-shot kill a phantom on gold. Both barriers and health gone in one shot. That's not exactely what I would call 'sucks'.

The claymore kicks ass. I havent used it on gold yet but on silver with a human infiltrator i can pretty mucn one shot anything even with shields. Shoot a brute in the face with armor piercing bullets and it loses half his armor in one shot! This gun is a beast!

hmmm...usually, I onehit an atlas from 50 metres away with my claymore - the trick is to aim for the reactor core and use some cryptonite bullets.

seriously, aim for an enemies head and watch him explode like an overripe melon.

It's amazing on gold as an infiltrator, with a rail amp and high level + mods it can kill a prime in 3 shots. Without the rail amp, still only 4 shots to kill it in the head. All the non elite troops can easily be killed in one shot, even phantoms if you headshot them. Claymore is great, pretty much the shotgun version of the widow except it's not hindered by shields like the vidow is.

It's an interesting weapon. I found a vid earlier of 4 Krogan using it on gold. Also for some reason the audio's...off. Still a neat video though.

It works but you have to get close to the enemy in order for it to work properly. It's not a sniper rifle

It actually has decent range with the right mods. Don't zoom in (shoot from the shoulder) at longer ranges.

claymore with damage, smartchoke, at level X on an infiltrator trucks like a boss in gold given you are using good equipment. 1shots the small elites. try to get used to reload canceling increases the shots you can get off by ALOT

What level is your Claymore, what mods are you using, and what level are those? 'Cause if you're rocking a level 1 Claymore with a lone extra ammo mod, yeah, it's gonna suck.

The claymore is devastating against armored targets. Use the decoy while in cover and proceed to blind fire into the crowd of geniuses.

Probably a dumb qustion, but i dont use SGs much. In a scramble situation, are you better off firing from the hip or quickscoping a shotty?
